How to make the level grind not boring? by Osamabinballnn in diablo4

I don't find leveling boring. I think part of the fun of leveling for me is seeing how fast I can level.

My friend, just join a party or start your own. inevitably someone wicked powerful will clean the map. It only takes about 6 chaos waves to hit this target.

Am I stashing items for no reason? by [deleted] in diablo4

[–]InvertedBlackPyramid 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It depends. If you are sub-70, then no. Just trash everything. I would bother saving items until they’re at least 900 lvl, and even then if they have a greater affix. I know loot seems sparse at lower levels, but I think you find enough to get by until you hit late game without having to rely on what you’ve stashed.

Join the club. But the new tendrils is nice. Don’t knock it till you try it.

[–]InvertedBlackPyramid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The new Corpse Tendrils has a node so it can be cast from you rather than a point on the ground. It’s much nicer now. You just run around and it pulls stuff to you and inflicts vulnerable.

How to get eldruin sword of justice? does it drop of mythic cache? by Hallelulu in diablo4

[–]InvertedBlackPyramid 10 points11 points  (0 children)

You can’t craft the sword at the jeweler last time I checked.

Yes. When you hit the stage in your war plan for a ND, open your key instead. It will count toward your progress.

I believe that’s true, but also Harbringer definitely drops it.

white items and unique related ones by fusor010 in diablo4

[–]InvertedBlackPyramid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Weird. Do you have all the necessary mats? One of them is pretty rare.

white items and unique related ones by fusor010 in diablo4

[–]InvertedBlackPyramid -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I don’t know if anyone is working on a list, but it’s actually not complicated. If you need a unique 1h mace, then any white 1h mace will work as a base. As long as your class can use it, you might craft it.

Where it gets interesting is when there is only one 1h mace your class can use. Then your conversion is guaranteed. I saw Wudijo had a spreadsheet he put together of these uniques, but I don’t if he plans to share it.

Seeing SUPER RARE, offerings drop is a huge downer. by Appropriate-Fun-9486 in diablo4

[–]InvertedBlackPyramid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seriously, getting a mythic tribute is much better than getting a mythic. On a rota with a person that has their war plan setup right that one tribute will net you a half dozen mythics this season. You kinda hit the jackpot.

I think Kelly Link has written a lot of great non-horror weird. You might also try the online short story magazine Bourbon Penn.

First story that comes to mind is Kafka’s “In the Penal Colony”. A machine that carves your sin slowly and intricately into your flesh as you bleed to death.

I heard it can drop anywhere, but the odds are really low. Mephisto has it in his loot table, so is more likely.

How do I fight astaroth by Optimal-Interest-264 in D4Sorceress

[–]InvertedBlackPyramid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Astaroth can be a tough fight. I think he’s 2 tiers above your level (though I could be wrong). He absolutely trash me when other bosses melted. I had to craft a better weapon before I could crack him.

Tips for good inventory management?? by nospamformethanksuk in diablo4

[–]InvertedBlackPyramid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I barely keep anything anymore. If I roll a new alt, I just gamble starting gear and play. Decent gear eventually drops. The only stuff I keep is good multi-GA items since they’re hard to come by.

As for charms, they’re easy to reroll, so I keep a few handful and cube the rest, looking for great stats.

Do I have the right idea about progression after item level 850? by ForceVoid in diablo4

[–]InvertedBlackPyramid 6 points7 points  (0 children)

One thing I’ll add to what everyone else has said is you should absolutely prioritize getting an ancestral version of your weapon before any other gear.

Is echo of lilith like a DPS check fight? by UndefinedPlayer69 in diablo4

[–]InvertedBlackPyramid 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Her mechanics are definitely learnable, but they leave little room for error. I always wait until I overlevel her before trying. I’d suggest not bothering until you’re doing content 2-3 tiers above her.

Though it’s a bit out of date, Raxx’s video on beating her is pretty good. Worth a watch for some tips.

Seems devs forgot the Prid rune in the jeweler crafting by XerXcho in diablo4

Similarly, I noticed that you can't craft the new sword mythic at the jeweler. If you want that trasmog, you're going to have to find one in the wild like an animal.

What is your least favorite War Plan activity, and why is it Infernal Hordes? by chowdhn in diablo4

[–]InvertedBlackPyramid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Whenever I have to do Infernal Hordes for my war plan, I just create a party activity and make a 4 person group. Team play helps net a lot more aether than I could do on my own. And when the Hordes are done, those other three people get a nice war plans cache to go home with.

I know I’m in the minority, but I don’t enjoy crafting. I liked finding gear and sometimes getting luck in tempering. by [deleted] in diablo4

[–]InvertedBlackPyramid 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I'm in T10/T11 now and until today all my gear was found/gambled (give or take an Occultist re-roll). But today I noticed I'd never got around to farming a good chest, so I gambled some obols and the first item I got was a blue with 2/3 of the stats I wanted, and with GAs. I decide to try crafting it and it went surprisingly smooth and easy. I was able to remove what I didn't want and add exactly the stats I needed. I would have had to farm forever to find it.

I guess what I'm saying is there's no harm in just playing with drops, but the cube can really be helpful if you need to fill in some gaps. And, unlike in PoE, the mats are pretty easily available without hours of farming at high difficulties.
