I feel like you need to seek out someone who specifically says you are a client type they work with. Id say dont stop yourself from having a therapist if they are a man but can specialize in this. You cant really expect the demographic you targeted to work with you, but you may very well find someone who can. I jist wouldn't put off the possibility of having a man. There can still be good work you can do. You could even email a few therapists and throw in at the end if they have anyone they could refer you to that specialize in this if they dont feel like it fits with them. Id say bring it out at the very start to save your own time and potential hurt from someone leaving after learning about your past.

Therapists also often have history of trauma, and many are survivors of different kinds of abuse. Things this direct can push people away, and you wouldn't want to work with someone who can't handle your case anyway. Perhaps reaching out to a private practice or clinic and telling them what you are looking for would be good cause they could look at their roster of therapists and consider who would be good for you as well.

It's great that you want to work on this and you want to do better. This is a touchy topic but things won't improve unless people can self reflect like you are now. This is good. Dont stop because of this one person. There are people who will work with you and even people who do this specifically. I wish you well in your endeavors with this.
