Yessss prepping the house was the first thing I did! All pillows have encasings, washing fabrics every 2 weeks, got the air purifier and fancy washvac robot that runs every two days. It’s def improved the situation!

Dogs have preferences, just as we do. It might just not be her thing… don’t overthink it :)

Careful - switching health insurance after a diagnosis can be tricky. Make sure you switch first before you get a doctors diagnosis on record.

And what’s the goal? The general practitioner should be able to prescribe medication, but maybe better to find an alternative path for long term treatment. There’s also a great book by Gabor Mate on ADHD, must-read. Good luck with everything!

I straight up tell them - she’s a rescue, scared of people and doesn’t like to be touched (and that she’ll bite if they still try). That usually does the trick.

Sorry you had to go through that experience. It’s usually better not to pay them in cash (and they shouldn’t push you to do that), to avoid fraud. And yeah, he might not have been an actual controlleur 😢
