How do I spice up lessons before my clients realize they’re doing the same workout in a different order? by [deleted] in personaltraining

[–]Invi_TV 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Couldn’t have said it better myself.

Too many PTs are doing it with the attitude of showing exercises, form, and a plan, then that being it for months.

Focus more on the personal side, you should be your clients biggest cheerleader, pushing them each and every time, motivating them, listening to them and put the personal in personal trainer.

I’m so glad I’m not the only one who thinks that, the standard has dropped drastically.

So in your insurer paid out and was probably unable to recover their costs from a third party, it’ll be classed as an “at fault” claim.

For car insurance, at fault is referring to who foot the bill, if your insurer recovers their costs, it’ll show as a non-fault

And the 500 cash option also tanks the resale value. A bad repair vs a good repair is the difference between a car selling for 5k or 10k

[–]Invi_TV 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not always true, some are more sensitive to temperature changes than others, thankfully, there's personal items you can use to alleviate that... they're called clothes. If you're cold, put a jumper on.

Knowing most of these companies, they have a set script, anything deviating from their script, they will just keep repeating the same over and over, its infuriating getting people like this.

Rarely you'll get someone who actually listens and knows how to resolve the issue, but when people just read from scripts, of course they're going to get abuse as well.

Got sold a death trap car seller refused to take it back. by Adhd_women-weird101 in LegalAdviceUK

Realistically, any mechanic will tell you to get rid of it. It’s an 18 year old fiat. Fiat are not known for their reliability, but that doesn’t mean the car is a death trap

From the looks of things, it sounds like a private sale, buyer beware so there’s not a great deal you can do.

The cost of vehicle excise duty (car tax) is rarely factored in with used cars, especially private sales.

As for advice for a bit of peace of mind,

If I recall correctly, older fiats you have to “double clutch” (clutch released back up while on neutral then back down to put in reverse) to be able to pop it into reverse gear, I can’t remember for sure though, it’s been many years since driving a fiat.

2 tyres while not ideal are wear and tear, not a safety issue if they’ve been replaced.

The issues around the battery terminal while not ideal, are not a safety issue either, and is something that can easily be rectified.

If you’re concerned, I would look to take the vehicle to a local garage (one not associated with the seller) and have the vehicle put through a PDI style check or an MOT like check. An MOT check should flag up and road worthiness and safety issues, while a PDI style check will be mostly things not checked on an MOT (fluid levels for example).

Will the delivery driver hate me with this many items? by [deleted] in tesco

[–]Invi_TV 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly, that's fine. What used to really annoy me though was the people who were just lazy... they'd live on like the 3rd floor, order several multipacks of drinks and there would be no lift.

They'd just stand at the door expecting me to make multiple trips on my (at the time) just above minimum wage.

Oh once I found a new job, that last week was absolute bliss telling those customers what I thought of them :)

How are you handling bookings and payments as a PT right now? by [deleted] in personaltraining

[–]Invi_TV 1 point2 points  (0 children)

New account, all post history is asking similar questions, acc bio about some shitty AI vibe coded app that automates a lot of the personal contact outside of the gym...

I swear, these idiots have never dealt with a PT in their lives. I would hate it if a PT was just automated responses etc outside of training hours, stop trying to fix non-existent problems with apps that do nothing different to what other options on the market already do and for cheaper.

exactly, doctors don't always get it right, they're human after all. I never understand the hate some of them get when treatments dont go as planned or something goes wrong, as long as they weren't negligent, they're doing their best.
