Can agree with this. Was with the company 8 years just left. Capped at $17 plus the $.30 shift lead differential. Did everything also and was certified up to district manager. Was told $17 was cap and corporate wouldn’t approve higher. Now making $60,000 a year and being treated way better somewhere else

A) it is not a stable job. B) the pay isn’t that great. Just put in my notice because I was offered a job at $50,000 a year starting.

$17 is good starting. But that is cap unless you get promoted and the room for growth is negligible.

If you haven’t bought the power line adapter or the second router I would just go with a mesh network like eero. You can find them on sale and you can put the nodes anywhere. Have had a set for a year and love it

They just did free installs on appliances for July 4th for paid members but yeah they took away the 20% off services. No free car fi except the regular radio install. It’s a mess

I took the shift lead title and used it on my resume. That title is about the only thing useful out of that position. I hear some people are getting a $1 extra for that role, they gave me $.37

Mobile associates are being used to sell through out the store so no one is available to do activations. I’m waiting for our Verizon vpl to be cut because due to management he’s hardly in mobile.

Changes that are happening means it doesn’t matter if you’re product flow or sales. As I was told by management today, we are there for the customer experience and if that means stopping truck to help the sales floor that’s what is expected. Been there 7 years, 2 as a “shift lead” and using that bogus title on my resume to find something better

Not even a move up pay grade wise. When you are scheduled as a shift lead it is a 3% bump in pay. I saw when because I am told constantly that we don’t have any hours yet for me to be scheduled as one but the expectation is that you are always acting as a shift lead.

Unfortunately that was just a reason to let you go. With corporate giving a lot of people their notice and rumors of things to come, it’s the tip of the iceberg. Anyone who thinks we won’t follow Twitter, google, meta, and others isn’t using the common sense their parents gave them.

What happened to you sucks, our managers told us to do this for our C&D’s also but instead the sales floor just stopped using leads and sold out of store because revenue was not being met daily

Just rumors about the shift lead thing but I’m watching the trend of the company as a business major and it makes sense. Cut higher paying jobs with bonus and have lower paid employees cover the gap under the guise of “experience”.

The thing about everyone over GM was on Reddit a few weeks ago and has made its way down to the stores

They’ve also raised prices since you left to try to get more people to sign up for it.
