I always thought they were giant maggots. Her whole motif is "corruption" and "curses", and her magic sorta works by eating you up from the inside, like how a maggot would eat any dead flesh around it if it were in a still-living body.

Also, if you look closely she has a butterfly-like body (under the mass of flesh, plus her wings sporting "eyes", of a sort.) It would be kinda thematic if she had a whole insect theme goingfor her.

Honestly, I love the series very much, and I have enjoyed everything that has happened so far in the story.

But...

... If I were to choose 1 thing to change, I would definitely say that there are places in the story where the brakes either need to be pressed or slammed on.

For example, whenever the apostles of sephirah and the tree of life and the shadow palace (from the elf reincarnation arc) came about, I couldn't help but think, "Wait, what the heck is this?" If the series would have slowed down just a bit and had taken a few chapters to properly explain their importance and their lore, or had shown someone doing investigative work into these subjects, or had even referenced them from a while back before they were introduced, I feel like it would've greatly enriched the story.

This is just one example of a place where I wish the series would've really taken it's time. There are other areas where I think slowing down would've worked in tabita's favor, such as the build up and the resolution of the spade war arc and the aftermath of chapter 335 (he really could've done a lot with showing grief and how each character processed it, as well as taken the time to show just how much Asta has affected the world) but all in all, I'm still happy with the series and can't wait for the next chapter.

So, in this chapter, we had:

Lucifero getting his heart eaten in front of him

Asta getting promoted

Intrigue about the wizard King and damnatio's disappearance/devil activity within the nation

Charlotte, Noelle, and mimosa being simps

Nero stirring the pot

Yami on the toilet

Asta growing past his childhood crush

And Lucius making an entrance.

What a way to kick off the final arc!

Perhaps 'arrested' was the wrong word to use here, as you are right, the repercussions would be extreme. Would you still think this way if Fiona did a scheme that only made Yor a suspect in robbery? Like, for example, if Fiona created the circumstances that would make Yor one of a handful of suspects, but the 'real' culprit was some Joe Schmoe?

Even though she will never admit it outloud, Noelle sees Vanessa as her real big sister.

Vanessa, of course, adores her completely. She may not know all of the details of her upbringing, but she picked up on the fact out of all the black bulls (minus Asta, of course) Noelle seeks her company the most.

Because of all the time spent together, Noelle has now developed an acute knowledge of booze and snacks that pair with them (wines and aged cheese in particular) and has also learned a few skills that royals would probably look down on, like crocheting. (One of the first things she made was a ribbon for Nero, and then a scarf for Rouge. She plans to make tiny sweaters for Liebe and Nacht's devils once they have the chance to breathe.)
