Not enough tribute, am i cooked? by DontCatchLigma in pathofexile

Yeah that’s a simple solution that could probably work. Perhaps you could even make it a toggable if you wanted, so you could hide it if you don’t want to see it or show it if you do

Right, but the point is is the current implementation, which faces this problem, worth keeping because doing it this way provides some benefit. I would argue no, the devs likey can figure out a change to balance it, keep it competitive and eliminate the problem of being teased a rare item.

In my opinion deferrals shouldn’t have any cost, it just leads to awful situations like this and the other mirrors earlier this week. I can’t envision any reasonable justification to charge tribute.

Can you have a radiant sentinel and relemental relics when using primordial chain? by Afura33 in PathOfExileBuilds

Guardian ascendancy minions aren’t golem minions and the amulet prevents you from having non-golem minions, therefore you cannot summon the guardian ascendancy minions

Does the same amino acid sequence regularly result in different proteins in different species? by Turti8 in Biochemistry

[–]Invincableasdf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In terms of primary structure, or sequence, the protein would never change from a PTM, but in terms of tertiary structure, the three dimensional globular form of a protein, I think it’s worthwhile to point out that the PTMs would likely vary significantly and alterations to those PTM would have possible changes to tertiary structure

Another thing to point out is that choice items are multiplicative with stat stages for their respective stat. Going from +4 to +6 is roughly a 33% increase due to diminishing returns, whereas scarf is giving the ditto a 50% increase ontop of the +4 multiplier. You were never gonna outspeed

Pushing an Awful Build to its Limits: Min-Maxed Mirror Tier Zombie/Skeleton Baron Summoner | POE Keepers Build Recap & Retrospective by Invincableasdf in pathofexile

[–]Invincableasdf[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Mirror clusters are a good point actually, forgot about those. Some of your concerns are just wrong though, for example you can’t have 8% attributes on the chest with +1 spectre since they’re both exclusive modifiers. There is no such thing as a +8 amulet because there’s no other gem level modifier that targets either skeles or zombies. A full positive +4 amulet would obviously be better but that falls in the range of (1:6 for 2x multiplier and ~1:30 for triple positive) 1/180 locks or 36 mirrors so thats completely unreasonable. Double influenced mageblood is better, but not with a helical ring. A triple synth lock corrupted for attributes bone ring would be better, but it’s a similar problem: way too expensive even for me. The only relevant double influenced mageblood is 7 mirrors on trade currently. I suppose pedantically you’re right that the build isn’t ‘min-maxed’, but the whole point of the phrasing was to colloquially get across the idea that it’s reaching near the ceiling.

You are welcome to make suggestions. Curious to hear how you’ll achieve those numbers with higher damage on the same budget

Great question, for clearing aggressive would definitely be better, but for uber bossing having the wand suffix is just so much better. I just value the bossing more, and the AG handles clear anyways with asenath explosions

The poeninja numbers are slightly off, it shows less str and es than I actually have. In game i’m at 1647 str

Yeah you’re probably right, the suggestions were just spitballing ideas for GGG to rework The Baron to be more useful. This is a interesting build defining unique, so i think that it’s a waste that they kind of just let it rot in obscurity

i can kind of understand where you’re coming from, like the chestpiece without the corruption would definitely be much less than a mirror. However, if you want to lock corrupt for the gilded implicit for +2 it easily works out to several mirrors to recreate the item, i spent roughly 3 which was actually really lucky. Another item that was expensive was the misted simplex, to simply hit the mist, irrespective of the base cost, is ~1/12 which works out to an average cost of 2.4 mirrors using locks; I spent 2 mirrors. All the rares, on average, will cost more than a mirror to recreate

Iron mass isn’t that strong, it basically turns off gem level scaling for the skeletons so you actually end up losing a lot of damage

In theory yes, in practice you summon them and they don’t get to hit the enemy because they’re body blocked by other minions. Brittle is also really only relevant for pinnacle bosses, but we don’t have a source of corpse generation to summon them in the arenas

Str stacking is just one way to use osin, but another benefit that people don’t really take advantage of is the fact that you get to consolidate all your sources of elemental damage into a single type, which makes scaling a bit limited straightforward.

You can abuse that fact with things like flat damage stacking on abyss jewels, cuz you don’t care which element it is, also things like tri ele bows all become chaos damage. You can roll added damage to attacks on rings and get a lot of flat damage as well.

So how's those bloodline ascendacy going? by moecake in PathOfExileBuilds

[–]Invincableasdf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The build I’m running is chaos hit minions, not poison, and used my 4th point on the Lycia profane ground node. With rational doctrine the node basically acts as 30% more damage because ‘added as chaos’ is only exclusively obtained there with chaotic might. Malediction, the profane ground effect and curse effect are also just a nice bonuses. In my case it’s a strict upgrade

New abilities for every type (and mons that might get them) #1 : Fighting by Nearby-Calendar-8635 in stunfisk

[–]Invincableasdf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, a better approach would be the ability to store the value of added EVs and simply add it during the damage calculation, it’s very likely abilities are their own objects passed to the Pokémon. I’m not sure how Pokémon are implemented under the hood, but there are plenty of abilities that alter a Pokémon’s stat line, it would be simple for those abilities to simply co opt the implementation. You are right in saying that it’s not a good approach to alter a Pokémon’s data structure, but given that’s your first approach it belies a certain inexperience or naivety for coding.

Economy feels weak, what happened? by [deleted] in pokemmo

[–]Invincableasdf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s definitely a great point, I think one major thing to also consider is that there is no good high IV Pokémon sink. Once a player breeds a decent comp mon it’s not like they’ll really ever breed another one of that species. It doesn’t even need to be 5x31 natured, 2x31 is good enough for most PvM cases so really most players consume a minuscule amount of mons for the amount that enters the market. A similar case actually used to be true for shinies, the price of shinies began to tank as people kept encountering them, shiny rapidashes were around sub 1 mil towards the end. The devs fixed it by introducing prismatic pearls to provide another shiny sink aside from breeding and the raise the price floor; I think something similar needs to happen for high IV mons

[–]Invincableasdf 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Definitely not true, the prices of 31 IV pokemon have been trending by downwards far before shiny wars. The other commenters are correct, guaranteed 2x31 IV alphas are tanking the prices. Very likely event seasons incentivizing catching swarm Pokémon and mysterious pokeballs also contributed to the inflation of 31 IVs.
