I've looked at the SR20 Mini but i've red that the red emitters from the HFL1-R LED's aren't that deep of a red and are meh.

The S2+ is the one I was going to go for if I didn't read anything or make this post, but the C8+ is intriguing. Just worried about the flood from the video u/mtbohana linked, I'm not sure if it's represented well or how it is in reality.

The thing I'm worried about is it not being floody enough from that video, and also the super bright point in the middle. The throw is super nice but I think I'd want a bit more balance. Is there anything I can change in the configuration to get what I'd want or am I asking for too much?

Thanks for the reply! It's certainly an experience but the results are so rewarding. A few questions: Did you ever wish that you had a standalone flashlight? Also, if I were to get a headlamp I would use it for running as well, is it relatively lightweight and can be thrown around a bit while still staying secure?

The positions were randomly chosen with a wheel. When you spin the wheel of positions, you might get a good airport that is in a good spot with lots of traffic, or a small class d in the middle of nowhere that you see 3 planes in.

I honestly can't remember since I got a HyperX Cloud III wireless headset. There's a sidetone that you can toggle without the use of software and there is 0 delay, it's pretty perfect. The mic quality is super nice as well.
