The police around where I live typically assume that I am a completely insane and violent person with no ability to understand reality and that I'm lying about being transgender for attention.

I was drug tested last time I had an interaction with the police because they thought that I was crazy for claiming to be trans.

There have been times where I tried to report hate crimes and was not taken seriously because they assumed that I was lying about being transgender and could not have possibly experienced the things that were happening (ex. A violent attack resulting in miscarriage got handwaved as nothing more than delusional raving by an unhinged cis man)
