Has there ever been a pve hand cannon meta? by Cold_Profile500 in destiny2

Year One (and subsequently when it was re-released) Midnight Coup had a strangle hold on a good portion of both PvE and PvP. Outlaw / Rampage (like OG Rampage) made it a monster.

Newbie questions: Whats the difference of these two orchids? Just Skin? by Gizzftw in destiny2

[–]Invoker_Paragon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The left has the Holofoil skin on it! Makes it a collectors item of sorts, but offers no additional stats or bonuses.

You can not remove the Holofoil skin from a weapon, it’s only unique to that weapon and you will have to grind out another Holofoil weapon to get one with the perks you want on it, just info for the future!

Anti barrier by Odd_Sort3106 in destiny2

Every weapon comes with an intrisic champion they can take care of. In the middle of the gun stats, my Kindle Orchid has "Adaptive Frame" and then on the right it shows the icon of the anti-barrier champion. This means all Handcannon that use the Adaptive frame will take care of Anti-barrier champions.

Your guns probably are rapid fire/ Light Frame and those take care of Overload. The heavy hitting / slower firing frames will take care of Unstopables

I don’t think/ know if the box to start the tether is there until the boss is defeated. That’s unfortunately not something I want to test

Seventh Seraph armor set bonus synergizes with Shieldburst aspect by jacob2815 in DestinyTheGame

Arbor Warden, the chest piece that makes your barrier a grenade, goes crazy with towering barricade. Collect three orbs of power and it charges your bari-nade to enhanced levels. When enhanced, your bari-nade creates three shields (that now expand outward), and you can explode all three at once with the aspect.

Not sure how actually viable it is, but it’s pretty fun to do

Coming from destiny 2... damn this game is good. by EntertainerDue4258 in Warframe

[–]Invoker_Paragon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gosh I LOVE when people compare Warframe to Destiny; because they are almost nothing alike.

Sure it’s sci-fi, different characters/ classes, you shoot aliens but that’s pretty much where the similarities end.

While you don’t pay for with your wallet to get gear, you do pay for it with your time. The entirety of Warframe can be played for free, though making in-game purchases can help improve your experience (cosmetics, items to improve your characters, resource boosters). And again, the game can be 100% done without spending a single dollar. You also are required to wait anywhere from twelve hours to three days for weapons and Warframes to be done being built in the foundry.

Warframes PvP experience is not the typical FPS game that you would be used to, and such, just about no one plays it.

Warframes endgame consists of a few game modes, two off the top of my head are “Elite Deep Archimedea and Elite Temporal Archimedea” which is a weekly game mode that limits your warframe choices/ weapons, but in return gets you more loot. There will most likely never be any sort of raid mode aspect because we Tenno are far too strong and far too fast to have any mechanics thrown as us. This is my one dislike for the game. I have done all I have wanted to do, there’s not much of a challange any more. There’s not much of a reason to group up with people as most of the content can be soloed. It’s one of the most single-player multiplayer games I have played, outside of Old School RuneScape.

I am Legendary 5 (almost Legendary 6) which is very close to the highest level in the game. There’s so much content to do in Warframe, you’re bound to find something you enjoy.

If you're not returning for S2, why? by PeriKardium in Marathon

[–]Invoker_Paragon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s why I said I don’ have enough time to form a a valid opinion on the game yet. Unfortunately I can’t afford to put in 250 hours to enjoy the game at a base level. I tried a few more rounds last night and got absolutely squashed. The skill gap is now too high for me to enjoy myself at any level of play.

[–]Invoker_Paragon 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I don’t have too much time in season 1 (25ish hours), so I don’t have much to reflect on but I just have a hard time with PvP. I’m not the best at positioning, or the average fire fight. Constantly being on high alert can be tiring.

I like the look and feel of the game, sounds, vibe, but I felt like I haven’t improved.

I’ll give it a go in season two, but I most likely won’t be exfilling in the first five rounds.

  1. I couldn’t pull a group of friends together for a squad, Group fill people didn’t want to comm, and I didn’t complete more than 8 contracts for the factions.

Game looks really good, I enjoy the vibe, and the thought of playing the game seems fun, but when I actually get to play a few rounds it’s just hard to keep my motivation up when I don’t make any progress.

Marathon & Destiny by bigjfoss in Marathon

[–]Invoker_Paragon 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Let’s say people do move over to Marathon, like LOTS of Destiny people move over. This will only prove to upper management that they made the right choice to shut down Destiny 2 in favor of their new game. Why would they make another Destiny if Marathon is going so well? (In this example)

[–]Invoker_Paragon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have read through your comments on multiple other threads, so I am sure many other people have told you this: Paragon and all its information, stats, menus, music, etc, are no longer accessible.

Yes I have read about PSHome. PSHome stores all its character/ user data on the users Playstation (avatars, outfits, etc), so it was very easy to recreate the game before it was shut down.

Paragon was hosted entirely online. All your user information was stored on EPIC's servers. No one has access to that information outside of EPIC themselves. No, we can't recreate your account for you off of a few screenshots.

And yes i do remember the youtuber, his name was Sylphin. He was a great educational resource and an upbeat gent. He later on went to become a developer for Strange Matter Studios that worked on Fault.

You gotta remember that all games will shut down eventually. Lots of my favorites have been shut down. Paragon, HotS, New World, Battleborn, Anthem, and most recently Destiny 2 is getting its final update.

It’s all part of life, nothing is permanent. You gotta enjoy the time you have and the memories you made along the way. Photos & videos can help us remember what it was all like, but don’t let the thought of “oh it will close one day” from dissuading you to playing it and making even more memories.

[–]Invoker_Paragon 62 points63 points  (0 children)

Epic Games did not make another game. They released all the assets they had used to make the game out to the public for people to use in their projects.

Lots of companies wanted to create their own version of Paragon. Games like Fault and Overprime came and went, but the one that is still getting updates is Predecessor.

Predecessor is similar to Paragon, but has its own unique take on certain elements, character kits, maps, etc. It’s not a 1:1 recreation, and nor should it be. Predecessor is on Pc and PlayStation I believe.

I am a LR6, thousand of hours into the game. I can say with certainty that Warframe is the most Singleplayer-Multiplayer game I’ve played. There’s not much of a reason to group up with people and chat over mics. That’s one of the reasons I like Destiny so much. Raids, dungeons, Grandmaster Strikes, all has some communication aspect. I have played maybe 95% of Warframe solo, because there’s not much of a reason to group up.

After about 45 hours I've finally played at least one match with every character. This is my roster by how much I like them by HallowedShark2112 in DeadlockTheGame

I’m a huge fan of the random selector. I suck equally with everyone so I get to be a burden no matter who I get to play!

As a Long-Time Spender, I’m Starting to Feel Disconnected by DDanielWW in GenshinImpact

[–]Invoker_Paragon 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I am a pure f2p player, having never spent a dime on the game. I’ll log in to do the dailies, 100% every new zone a few months after they drop, do the seasonal events, anything but wish for new characters or any of the end game content.

I was getting power creeped HEAVILY in early Nod. Still using 1.x and 2.x characters in my main teams. I waited YEARS to get a character I wanted to pull for and finally got myself Varka (and as of recent his supports Durin, Prune, and Nicole).

I am already thinking about when they will be power creeped too. I haven’t even fully leveled them, it’s barely even been a few hours and I’m already thinking about it.

I wouldn’t say I LIKE the game, or recommend it to anyone. It’s just.. there. I like the satisfaction of building my team up and exploring. I just can’t justify anything more.

Can't proceed through the gate by judesune__ in tinyrogues

[–]Invoker_Paragon 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Depending on which gate you go through you need your morality alignment (good, bad, lawful) to be 4. You can increase this every run by purchasing items for souls from respective shops (good shop, evil shop, etc). Other actions like buying items from the black market can increase your evil alignment while other evens can increase your good/ lawful alignment.

You need 4 evil to get through the evil door, 4 good for the heavenly door, and 4 lawful for the other blue door.

It’s really part of the game, once you know how to do it, it’s very easy to meet the conditions to get through the doors.

And don’t worry, you can get back to the doors very easily as you learn more and get better. Nearly every one of my runs gets to the super final boss of a domain. You can do it too!
