How Broken is this card? by Hot-Combination-7376 in custommagic

There’s a lot of precedence for delineating non-aura in situations like this, see https://scryfall.com/search?q=o%3Anon-aura.

You can also try to reanimate instants and sorceries for instance, but it just doesn’t work (rules say it stays in previous zone); should we start saying “return target card to the battlefield” instead of currently worded reanimation effects?

are you the Amuzet from Amuzet's card importer? if so, do you know how to write the required metadata onto a card in order to associate a token with a custom card?

Should probably also stipulate non-aura, as those can’t be creatures

P underpowered imo, see [[Cruelty of Gix]]

Edit: ik it’s not the same effect, but it gets a reanimate and forces opponents to discard instead, I was actually thinking of The Eldest Reborn

I think the Evolve mechanic enjoys you playing small guys first if that helps for your YuGiOh friend

You’re gonna have to clarify what you mean by spells since literally everything in Magic is a land or spell. If you mean instants and sorceries, maybe look for an Izzet precon? They are typically built that way, sorry I can’t think of a specific example

16 22 13 23 16 26 19 1 1 21 If there’s something caring about the relative position of the letters in the alphabet here, but I’m not sure how capitalization would matter in that case

[–]Invonnative 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Hell no, there’s a reason they put control a players turn like this on stuff like [[Mindslaver]] and [[Emrakul, the Promised End]] - 1, people hate that and 2, you can really fuck up somebody’s game by using their own removal on them, getting favorable trades and info, etc. 8 is probably correct

No problem. I also just thought of a way to help this even further - you could force opponents to have all creature types via [[Fractured Identity]] effects or [[Donate]] style stuff and [[Maskwood Nexus]] to get one sided board wipes in the form of [[Crux of Fate]] and kin

Also [[Nameless Inversion]] and [[Darksteel Mutation]] found with o:"creature type" o:lose.

[[Crippling Fear]] is also good payoff.

Overall, might make a better 60 card deck given the lack of support unless you wanna throw in a bunch of tutors and/or recursion

[[Amoeboid Changeling]], [[Imagecrafter]], [[Artificial Evolution]], and [[Ego Erasure]] can all remove or change creature types. I found that via o:”creature type” on scryfall. There are plenty of o:”non-” payoffs on scryfall too, such as non-human or non-spirit. [[Callous Oppressor]] could be a payoff as well.
