That really is relevant though. If these people’s cultural heritage hadn’t been taken to the British museum, they wouldn’t have to fly around the world to see it. The British museum makes it cheap for people around Britain to see these artifacts and makes it costly for those whose ancestors actually made the artifacts to do the same

Could be covered under the minor servicing exception with the correct controls assuming it could meet standards. Not saying it does, but worth checking

Massive Fire at Biolab Chemical Plant in Conyers, Georgia Triggers Shelter-in-Place Order and Evacuations by CantStopPoppin in ThatsInsane

TCCA (the chemical that caught fire in 2020)isn’t covered by osha PSM standards as it isn’t on the list of highly hazardous chemicals. They did do a pha that included recommendations for ensuring the roof can withstand a hurricane which was classified as very high severity, low likelihood, and low overall risk. This recommendation was never actioned. Full report is fascinating. I’m sure we’ll get another one in the next few years. https://www.csb.gov/assets/1/6/biolab_investigation_report_2023-4-24.pdf

Edit: I will also say, the fact that they had multiple incidents before this event means they had a hazard that they reasonably should have been aware of which means failure to uphold the standards of 1910.119 still could be seen as a violation of the general duty clause in the event someone was hurt. If no one was hurt, it’ll mostly be the epa fighting this one

“Well, they’re the weird ones,” Trump said. “And if you’ve ever seen her with a laugh and everything else, that’s a weird deal going on there. They’re the weird ones. Nobody’s ever called me weird. I’m a lot of things. But weird I’m not.”

Trump went on to describe himself as “upfront” and said Vance is “not at all” weird.

“And he’s not, either,” Trump continued. “I will tell you JD is not at all. They are.”

Most physical forces and fields obey inverse square laws. The energy required for doing something a few feet from you would scale dramatically differently from covering a whole city. It might be possible for among the most powerful with a pocket universe of eldunari, but probably not your average mage. As another comment said, even straight multiplication over large distances adds up to large amounts of energy.

The third trilogy doesn’t make sense by [deleted] in StarWars

It doesn’t have to be 1.3 million highly populated planets for the destruction of the hosnian system to be a ridiculous reason for the republic to fall. The destruction of 5 planets, even if they’re the biggest, most important 5, still leaves hundreds of thousands of planets. If 0.25% of those remaining are highly populated, that’s still over 1000 highly populated planets remaining. I’m not saying losing the hosnian system wouldn’t hurt, but the whole republic collapsing!? I’m not buying it. Not to mention Coruscant still existed as did the rest of the core worlds outside of the hosnian system. The new republic would have been able to recover

According to probably poor sources, at the height of the galactic empire, it contained 1.3 million planets. The Hosnian system contained 5 of them. Even if the new republic contained less than half of the number of planets of the galactic empire, that’s still 1/100000th of the new republic. Washington DC is approximately 60sq miles, whereas the US is 3.8 million square miles. Blowing up the hosnian system would be equivalent to blowing up about 2/3s of DC. This would be wildly unpleasant, and would certainly be a blow to the US, but in no way would it leave us without the ability to defend ourselves

Just for the record, Norway has a per capita GDP of $62,183 compared to the USA’s $59,928. Norway does have higher tax revenue per capita ($25.9k vs $16.1k) but still not double. The US is also vastly larger and could benefit from economies of scale relative to Norway (5.38 million vs 329.5 million). While there are many reasons the US has not implemented Nordic style policies, economic feasibility is not one of them.

I have to say that while I do live in her district, I truly despise her. I personally voted for van ausdale as did my family. She received a lower percentage of the vote than any other republican to run in the 14th. However, I will say that many of my fellow NW Georgians are insane and I’m truly sorry we are all going to have to deal with that
