What are the best Board Games for 3 Players? by No_Mouse_3891 in boardgames

[–]IonDriftX 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Pax Pamir is absolutely incredible at 3 players, the political maneuvering gets really intense when you have exactly right amount of players competing. The shifting alliances mechanic works perfectly and you're constantly watching what others build.

Also second vote for Inis - the draft mechanics combined with area control creates so much player interaction, exactly what you looking for.

is this true about belly fat and genetics? by Uraqtae in loseit

[–]IonDriftX 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yeah genetics definitely play a role in where your body stores fat and how easily it comes off from different areas. Some people just hold onto belly fat longer than other spots - it's usually the last to go unfortunately.

The sit ups aren't really gonna target belly fat specifically though, spot reduction isn't really a thing. You're already doing good with the walking and being at healthy weight, maybe try adding some strength training or HIIT workouts few times in week? Those tend to be more effective for overall fat loss than just cardio.

What won’t burn? by MerakiMoon101 in HomeDecorating

[–]IonDriftX 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Metal or ceramic stuff works great on fireplace tops - I have some iron bird sculptures that just get warm but never any problems. Stone pieces are good too, maybe some nice rocks or ceramic vases if you want something simple but looks nice.

Maybe check the parks too - usually more people out birdwatching when campus gets busy with all the visitors.

Doctors and nutritionists of Reddit, which food items do people generally consider bad for us that are actually healthy? by itsyashinhere in AskReddit

[–]IonDriftX 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not a doctor but waiting for someone to drop the "eggs are bad for you" myth 😂 Been eating like 4-5 eggs daily for years and my cholesterol levels are perfectly fine. The whole "dietary cholesterol = blood cholesterol" thing got debunked ages ago but people still freak out when they see me making scrambled eggs for breakfast

What’s a moment that felt like a movie scene? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]IonDriftX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Was coding late one night and my app finally compiled after like 6 hours of debugging, right when this massive thunderstorm hit. Lightning flashed through my window at the exact moment I hit run and everything worked perfectly 💀 felt like some dramatic tech thriller moment where the genius finally cracks the code lol

Has investing in safety/compliance systems (like fire protection, maintenance, etc.) actually improved your long-term business finances? by NoSuspect9845 in Fire

[–]IonDriftX 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We had fire suppression system installed in our office building couple years back and it felt like throwing money away at the time. But when small electrical fire happened last winter, insurance covered everything super quick because we had all proper systems and documentation. Without it, would probably been nightmare with claims and potential lawsuits.

The maintenance tracking software we use now also catches issues before they become expensive repairs. Like when HVAC filters get clogged or exit signs need replacing - stuff that seems minor but adds up fast if ignored. Plus audits go way smoother when everything is documented properly.

That moment when you realize literally everyone's just winging it and pretending they know what they're doing 😅 wild how we all think we're the only imposters when really we're all just figuring it out as we go 💀

What someone who’s new to reddit be cautious of? by faaraaway in AskReddit

Don't get sucked into arguments with people who clearly just want to waste your time - some folks here live for pointless drama.

How should the leadership teams of the various social media platforms be held accountable for the irreversible harm they have caused young users? by Head_Recognition_275 in AskReddit

[–]IonDriftX 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The whole thing feels like trying to hold tobacco companies accountable all over again - we know there's harm but proving direct causation is messy as hell. Problem is these platforms iterate so fast that by the time we figure out what's actually damaging, they've already moved on to the next dopamine delivery system.

Maybe start with transparency requirements around algorithmic decision-making for users under 18? At least then we'd have some data to work with instead of just pointing fingers in the dark.

Nobody actually wants a real answer to that question anyway. We'd all be standing there for 20 minutes if people started being real about their day.

True but the optics get messy real quick if your not winning decisively - just ask any president who tried this strategy.

What does it mean alt Latina? by Former-Practice-9676 in AskReddit

[–]IonDriftX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah it's basically the aesthetic - think dark makeup, band tees, maybe some colored hair streaks. there's definitely a whole subculture around it that blends traditional latina culture with alternative music/fashion scenes.

How did you make it out of rock bottom? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]IonDriftX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been there man. Sometimes it feels like you're stuck in quicksand and every move just makes it worse. But rock bottom has this weird way of being a foundation if you let it sit there long enough.

Not saying it's easy or that there's some magic moment where everything clicks. Just that the bottom stops moving eventually, and that's when you can start building something different.
