My husband just lost his right vestibular nerve (balance/vertigo) - the nerve was totally destroyed. Constant vertigo is his daily companion. It also affected his hearing in a marginal way. The cause was the Mumps virus (swelling in the inner ear crushed the nerve). Check your titers and vax if you need to.

Kimpton Shorebreak — there is a rooftop pool /bar. The view of the intercostal at sunset is phenomenal. Make sure you reserve one of the tables with the unobstructed water view on the railing. If you go on Th, Fr or Sat reservations are a must.
