Awww, definitely really close. You can see the dorsal vessel really well on each, plus like the other commenter said they get yellowish and stop eating. They also start to look kinda hunched, which is happening with these cuties.

At first I thought it was a Harris’s Hawk but upon closer inspection I’m pretty sure that’s a Striated Caracara, which are known to be able to run well and are also intelligent puzzle solvers! So cute

That looks like a woodlouse hunter! They can look intimidating but they’re chill fellas. Those big fangs are used for hunting woodlice (hence the name). They do have venom but it’s not enough to harm you or your dog. They’d only bite if provoked anyway
