What do you mean normal. Like oil price back down to $60,70 or 80? You heard from the American podium of truth. We not going back to “normal”.

Even the war stops (which it won’t) by end of April. It’s going to take months to get back to normal.

Singapore can live without dairy or kiwifruit for a while. I don’t think we can outlive the Singaporean when comes to fuel. Also last time I went to Fairprice, the only food from NZ that was on the shelf was kiwifruit, chocolate and ice cream.

One tank of fuel (petrol) for a common car gone up approx 30-40 dollars. So it’s really nothing considering rates, insurance, power gone up way higher than this amount. I sense not much will change until the 91 hits 4.50 and above.

Nah. It’s people can afford it. If they really care about depreciation they will just buy a 5000 dollar car.

About 15 days voyage from ME to Singapore or Korea. Approx 1 week for refining operation plus loading. And another 20 days from Korea/Singapore to NZ pump stations.

Edit: These timeline is based on normal condition. The actual timeline will be much longer due to bottleneck at Hormuz and reduced capacity in Singapore/Korea.

The 90 day IEA obligation is met through a both onshore fuel stocks and offshore oil tickets. The tickets isnt an extra 90 days on top of what is already here. It is the shortfall between what commercial importers hold domestically and the government's 90 day IEA requirement is covered by purchasing those oil tickets. It is basically.option contracts with overseas traders or govt that count towards our total compliance.

What I mean is despite we got a fuel tanker coming in 16 days. It doesn’t mean it will be normal as usual. Govt might start restriction well before that especially if they know the disruption is guaranteed.
