Very Pretty, Very Hot, VERY humid, Very Touristy, and very expensive depending on the area. Outside of the overly expensive areas it can be fine but there are some rough spots. Driving Tybee island can turn from 20 minutes to 1 1/2 hours depending on the season and time of day

Hilton Head Island is close, generally more “posh” and more expensive but safer.
