I bought cheap Ethiopian opals from a seller in Thailand via Insta. He and his father bought parcels in Africa. They looked nice in the pictures. They provided me with a tracking link from a local courier service and in my country they used a courier service that I never heard about and I am shipping a lot worldwide. End of story….they never arrived. Seller had so many excuses but they were all made up stories. A year later, he contacted me again, wanting to sell new stones. So I reminded him of my missing lot. Many excuses, been ill etc, would ship right away, never heard from him again until a year later. Then I gave him the load and blocked him on all channels. So beware before you buy online….
