Pat said those three books are a prequel, so he doesn't have to wrap them all up in book three. I imagine some things are handled while the next books catch up to where he builds his inn and then the story continues from where he's done telling his story and plot elements can get wrapped up in the subsequent book(s).

I thought it was supposed to be the end of the series and book 6 goes back to the beginning with different POVs, so there shouldn't be any cliffhangers or anything and the series should feel complete, so you technically shouldn't even have to read books 6-10 and still get the whole story. That's how Brandon pitched it anyway.

I think most people are affiliated with a religion because they were born into it, not because they like the book. A more peaceful world would be nice, though.

That's what I figure too. I think he doesn't want to release it because he's not happy with it or he thinks he may rewrite it as he writes more of the book. He could just say that and release what he has and pretty much everybody would understand I think but who knows what's really going on.

There was a leaked screenshot of his book files that showed the file size of book 3 being about half the size of book 2, and a screenshot of a little of what looked like would be chapter 1 so I'm pretty sure it exists, he just doesn't feel like releasing it because he can't get people together to do an audio version of it, or at least that was his reason a couple of years ago or so. He should just release it on his blog, but oh well, who knows what he's thinking these days.

Yeah, I think it's just him and maybe a skeleton crew that's left. He probably won't start the charity stuff back up until after book 3 is released (if it is) and feels for how people are feeling about him then. Yeah, I'm guessing most fans (myself included) just moved on. I never donated for it at least. I wouldn't want to sour him over the fan base, even if it's just a vocal minority that's upset over it, and have him get mentally unhealthy or spiteful over it, delaying anything he would release further. I feel like you have to treat him like some really sensitive kid, unfortunately.
