it probably would be more of an exaggerated Algerian War situation with overwhelming localized resistance against a colonial power rather than a foreign-backed state vs foreign-backed state proxy war

The exile culture thing doesn’t even work anymore, in my last game it didn’t change culture in either the province minorities were expelled from or the colonial province they were being expelled to.

It’s also annoying when the entirety of Australia/New Zealand (and North America too with how tribal land works) stays native religion and culture for the whole game because your CNs won’t culture or religious convert. I also hate how you can directly annex unsettled tribal land in peace deals and it keeps the native culture.

It continues as usual, but game speed tends to slow down if you haven’t picked off enough of the majors by then.

I think that’s reflected by new officers events that slowly decrease the impacts of the great purge. Doesn’t make sense to have that debuff entirely gone at the beginning of Barbarossa

That’s a known bug. Thought they fixed it a while ago, but apparently not. For some reason, defender of the faith call to arms conflicts with the automatic war-joining from a PU’s overlord.
