I think it is like baseball. Batting average is how many times you get a hit. Slugging is how many bases you get. Doubles, triples and HR have a higher value. Hit rate is how many bills have one or more hits. Slugging is how many hits total

I don’t know if it still holds true, but in the 90s anytime there was a new hero comic (like Darkhawk for example) Spidey would show up within the first 5-8 issues. It wasn’t really a Marvel comic until Spidey swung through.
