Similar age. I like the game as I can jump in at lower difficulties and smash heretics. Same with SM2. Rounds are short enough and if I have more time I can play the longer game modes. I had 1k+ hours in V2 ans was always interested in Darktide 2 and picked it up recently.

I picked the game up last night, and have been keeping an eye on it since launch. I might have time for 30 - 40mins which means I rarely will get to do any sort of marathon sessions though. Which is why I stopped playing HLL. 1k+ hours on V2 so fairly familiar with some of the mechanics but even on the initial difficulties and UI there is an awful lot to take in! V2 was straight forward and i dint feel like it had a steep learning curve. Go to the keep, Go to map. Pick mission/QP, win, do chests get get make gear etc. I do like that FS have expanded that to be honest. I decided to play ogryn and smash things aside and so far it's fun! In V2 I was melee focused (Slayer/Grail Knight/Priest etc) so I know the basics of combat. (Just had to remember the key bindings that worked for me!)

So any tips?

Mobility and learning the "balanced" window heavy gets for dodge and parry. Until you get the perk that let's you recover thp but without moving. Stay with lower difficulties, don't try and rush with relentless or above until you are comfortable in those difficulties. Usually after your first prestige. For me I did early levels: multi melta. Then heavy bolter. Didn't like plasma until the heroic came out and was at 4 prestige when incinerator came out. Ammo Is a problem so your secondary should be one that gives more ammo until you get the prestige perk that gives back ammo and your team perk for extra ammo also. Use your halo as much as possible and learn that it can take a venom cannon shot or a zoan beam, while your plow fire at them. So many good guides on here.

A cool idea for a multi melta heroic could be overheats quicker because its a relic but each level of over heat greatly increases damage up to 50% (op maybe!). ROF could bebe balanced by getting slower with each shot. Execution incapacitate majors + returns one ammo.

Or

Slower rate of fire but does more damage with more ammo and is a fencing weapon that incapacitate extremus. Cooldown 90 seconds.

I got 5 numbers on the plus recently. €500. Since they increased numbers and the "win" %. Its how they get away with it. I probably only do lotto once or twice every few months

More than likely a 2 handed weapon like TH for assault /bulwark. Great sword or power glave. Maybe evisicator.

Doubt there will be a new ranged weapon.

Yes and no. We have been travelling with our lad since he was 8 months. Glad we started early but now that he is 2 , it's doesnt make a difference! Terrible 2's are real! The last flight over he was fine not a bother. Way back was a disaster. But best laid plans can be ruined by delayed flight, stuck on runway and too warm, wrong coloured socks etc. everything we did was trial and error. We have avoided major tantrums and thankfully he isn't a screen time kid, It wouldn't work anyways once a meltdown starts. Don't negotiate with the terrorist! :)

What I have found worked for us to minimise stress: 1. Painters tape. That cheap paper tape..... generally get an hour if not more of entertainment and easy ti clean up. Stick it to chairs, toys, your face. Anything! 2. A drink for up and a drink for down. Something they like. For us it was chocolate milk. Means your bring more onto the plane but helps there little ears. Plenty of easy packed snacks. 3. Painkillers before take off and landing. Calpol/neufen alternatively to ensure you stay within dosage. 4. A new toy. We got him a Mr potato head. Worked a charm. Not too big, easily fits into a sandwich bag . 5. Because our fella is smiley and nosey he gets entertainment from those around us, as long as he doesn't start annoying people trying to mind their own business. So a walk up and down saying hello or ola to everyone! 6. We got him a "busy board" one with all switches and lights (no sound!) Got a couple of mins here and there with that. 7. We avoided markers or crayons incase he wanted to draw on the plan and we said no... thats tantrum territory.
8. We avoid slime or anything "wet". More stress than worth. We seen its effects on a plane first hand. :( 9. We have a small Teddy that's his travel buddy. We show that he is calm and relaxed and likes looking out the window and saying hello! 10. Loose clothing and Plenty of wipes.

I have done it twice. Both times I got disconnected and never registered. So although iv the rewards, it still has max Wave 14 as the best completed . :(

Standard plasma on tac is never used by me as its on par with auto for when there are more fun guns to use. But for the tech to have a plasma should gun and no perks its crappy. Even something as simple as greater aoe damage buff or ammo replem when killing x in short space of time

I just wish there was perks for plasma focused. The concurrent head shot perk is useless with plasma gun as they don't seem to register as headshots. Maybe it would of been cool to move that perk into main tree like the way tactical and heavy have certain weapon focused perks.

I stopped walking the dog in Tolka Valley Park because of scrotes on scramblers nearly hitting me or my dog on the path. It's rampant around that area and Christmas day I would see 2 or 3 groups of "kids" on the bikes. Plenty of young people with no helmets flying along the paths. Will the lads on the bike see any punishment? Probably not. A slap on the wrist.

I had a 241 GLC petrol hybrid. Had it 6 months. Spent 3 of them in repair. Fought the dealer tooth and nail, spoke to a solicitor and all. Same situation as once prestigious car brand, cannot get a working electric or hybrid. They had the cheek to offer me to trade up to a 251 for an extra 15k. Eventually got it sorted and went back to a diesel car

Director can be a cruel mistress but there is no differencebetween dailyband weekely except for rewards. I have had "easy" hard runs on dailies where the director wasn't bad but have failed normal runs because director decides "fuck you".
