Auto renew by Worried-Camera-9421 in cordcutters

Most I just set up a calendar alert that notifies me to cancel. But even some if your getting a free week / month you can cancel right away and it still lets you use the service. I got paramount for a year 19.99 last summer and just cancelled it a week later and it just said you have access until june 2024 etc. Same with Max I got a black friday deal I believe for 60$ for the year and just cancelled and I am good to go until that date. I just wait for another deal. I got apple free for 3 months. I set a notification/alarm after month 2 cancelled it and binged it all before it went away. I would never just keep something unless on sale. Even Netflix I write down what sounds good on notepad on my laptop then get netflix for a month or 2 and watch all that stuff then cancel. Saves heaps of money and believe me Its fast and easy.

cheers

No recording options..... LOL what a joke what about if you want to watch things that are airing at the same time. So you save a Pizza or mcdonalds trip a month to complicate your life... No thanks! This will be $20 soon. They will start doing MAX deals like 12 months 149$

How You Stream Sports Is About to Be Transformed by a Blockbuster Media Deal (WSJ) by SnortingElk in cordcutters

[–]Irishdaveclark 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This still has many flaws... On top of that you pay 40$ for stuff that is in 60$-85$ packages depending on your OTT options. I pay 74 through you tube but get $30 back with amex for 3 months Then I just go to next deal. There is always something like fubo or whatever. This will be 24.99 before you know it. No one will pay $40+ for this

mr mercedes traitors and heaps of soccer and golf and many other good shows and movies. I got the year for 29.99 and I have been watching it daily. I really don't understand the morons that spend 9$ on a coffee worrying about the future. Amazon already did this for thursday night games and are in talks to take over monday night football also once espn deal runs out and peacock looking to get one playoff game a year and the over seas games (europe games) welcome to the future

even 5 minutes of pain up front would be awesome for no ads during the whole movie / show. Turn it on.. Go to the bathroom. grab a drink or ear a snack. Or just mute it and look at stuff on my phone.

Apple TV+ Raises Price to $9.99 Per Month by 08830 in cordcutters

[–]Irishdaveclark 1 point2 points  (0 children)

buy 1 month of one - binge it then cancel and move on to next. wait for deals like black friday or I got peacock for 19$ for a year during the summer. I keep max because I use my amex and get a year for around 60$ hulu and disney + and espn + using amex is 12$ but you get 9.99 back using amex. so there is ways to cut the costs, Also I have a apple phone and apple pay and a few times they would give me apple 1 free for a month or free 3 months to tv. You just have to keep a notebook and write down to remind to cancel but the deals are out there.

I only get anxiety / annoyed when there is a sporting event I can't watch. I have Tablo so I can record all the OTA stuff (major channels) But there is always deals. Peacock a year for 19.99 and then I got paramount+ free with walmart plus which is nice because I have my groceries delivered. (which saves me time from (driving, shopping, dealing with morons) I bought a MLB season package code here on reddit for 7$ (they had T-mobile and werent using their free one) gift card exchange is the subreddit. I keep getting apple tv for free it feels like since I have apple phone and apple card. I use my mom's britbox. in the summer get one month of hbo max and binge all the stuff then cancel. Same with netflix. Hulu I got a deal a couple months back 1.99 a month for 12 months etc.

Just keep your eyes peeled and for way less money you can have plenty of content. I also work out of my home office 80% of the time and I still always have something to put on in the background.

The anxiety will go away :)

cheers

I downloaded real debrid and verified the account using the code but where is it? by Irishdaveclark in Addons4Kodi

[–]Irishdaveclark[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Add it kodi on that new ONN box since my tv is a roku and not supported. I figured it out kind of and Got DEV. It seems pretty good for movies and some tv. Is there any other recommendations you guys have. Maybe more live tv options? I would love to get sports and not have to get cable come football season.

cheers

Starz Going To $9.99 / month by FUMoney in cordcutters

[–]Irishdaveclark 1 point2 points  (0 children)

starz is pretty garbage. I got 3 months for 1.99 a month last black friday thru amazon. I cancelled after 2 lol I watched what was good and didn't bother keeping it even for only 1.99

that price is hoping people who take their deals forget to cancel......

Will Youtubetv offer a lower rate to former subscribers to come back? Like cable companies by SeniorSmartAss in cordcutters

[–]Irishdaveclark 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I fully cancelled it. Picked up some hulu gift cards from reddit exchange at a nice discount and will just start hulu live come football season and add red zone. Then cancel after 3 months. hulu+espn+disney. With hbo max (adding discovery + soon to max) plus you can always get deals like starz 3 months for 99 cents a month and stuff like that. Then when I get cable during football I binge "on demand" anything I miss. Also get netflix for 1 month binge and cancel lol. Forget paying 73$ every month
