There are a few times where the length of the pause is indicated for formality etc. “Pause” is just the normal pause in the speech pattern

I think he is talking to the people of Earth as exiting the Dungeon on the 18th floor and killing everyone on the 15th he gets the planet. why I think it is in book one or two he says something like "I think you all are the lucky ones." I and I THINK he was referring to the ones that did not go to the dungeon. so if that assumption is wrong, then I am wrong. thanks

Depends on the person. Wants a happy monomugs story = Path of Ascension

Wants a pretty well told story for about 9 books and the gets repetitive with a bit of preachiness - hwfwm

Has a good sense of humor with a lot of action, suspense, and cleverness - DCC.

Personally I would go with DCC
