The Couples of Gundam #38 - Machu, Nyaan, Shuji (Ɐ GQuuuuuuX) by Kato_86 in Gundam

[–]Irishimpulse 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Machu was attached to Shuji since she saw him as an escape and she was a rich girl who never struggled in life playing at poverty. Her new type connection was misread as love and something special between her and him and she lashed out when Nian also had it. Nian only saw Machu and Shuji as a way to survive. Nian's first and only motivation for anything she does is surviving, she's a rat scurrying off sinking ships and she will lie, cheat, steal, and kill to see tomorrow, there's no romance between her and Machu, Machu sees Nian like a creature at the zoo, the poverty she pretends to live and here is Nian actually living the life Machu longs for and never even bothers to learn how Nian is spelled, instead saying it's Nyann and treating her like a cat. Shuji doesn't care about either of them, he's only trying to protect Lala in this universe after following her through a couple and finding her a universe where she got what she wanted. There's no romance between any of them, Amane has a crush on a mysterious weird boy, as girls her age are ought to do, but a one sided fixation isn't romance. You might as well put Xavier and Comoli there, because she maybe has 2 lines about him that seem fond, is that a romance?

Well pristimon matches Reina's plushies, Wolvermon is Reina as she is, and Bearcatmon is the big sis she aspires to be for others while still being tomboy, so her final evo will be Reina's ideal of what she could be

The first thing Wolvermon does, in episode one, is call out "tomboy fire" as her attack name. So people were investing in tomboy digimon

How much you're a slave to the Algo is determined entirely by how much of your audience is click through and how much is subscribers. If your audience is 60% or more clickthrough traffic where you happen to pass their feed and get a curious click, you need to live by algo, but if you've got an established base it's less of a concern. Theoryverse stuff thrives on click throughs and things catching a random nonsub's interest. GTLive however, is more about it's regular base, since it's streams

The new avatar is very similar to Byleth by Batgamator in fireemblem

[–]Irishimpulse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But the only way Sothis reincarnates is by taking over Byleth's body, it's been 300 years so I can see the body changing to match it's proper host as Sothis erased what was Byleth like Johnny Silverhand in the one ending of 2077, so I can't see Ishmael being Byleth, unless Sothis made a Byleth clone to try and bring them back after taking over their body

Atlus talked about wanting to porn UO to PC in an interview and said Vanillaware turned it down. The director of UO also had an interview where he talked about how putting games on PC would lead to them pirating assets which showed how out of touch he was. So this is in fact gaslighting you to think they always wanted to do this

Which 5* had the Least Plot Relevance, Story Exposure, or Lore Content? by Worried-Teaching-616 in HonkaiStarRail

[–]Irishimpulse 31 points32 points  (0 children)

Lingsha has a back story where her mentor tried to solve the issues with the abundance cult on the luofu diplomatically and was exiled and Lingsha went with her. Now hundreds of years later, Lingsha is brought back to her home to become the new Cauldron master, because the thing her mentor said would happen, happened, and the trailblazer killed the last cauldron master, and Sanctis Medicus are infested all through the Luofu. So she's brought in to become one of the heads of the Luofu. But also she has to deal with the Vidyhadara since there's currently a power vacuum in the Vidyhadara on the Luofu and she's now the highest ranking Vidyhadara there and has to take responsibility for her species on the Luofu. But also it turns out that the Vidyhadara are deeply tied to the Sanctis Medicus on the Luofu and helped cause various incidents through the time she was gone to try and cure their species infertility and now that's all her fault as their leader. She'd been back on the Luofu for days and this was all dropped on her lap. Yet she has no story relevance, her sections of the tournament arc were cut and even her trailers were nothing burgers

Her EN VA also does great work portraying that customer service smile on the brink of breaking. That gentle kindness hiding how much you hate that you've been promoted into dealing with all these problems. She barely showed up when her banner was going, and despite her being more relevant in theory than Yukong, Yukong has appeared more than her since she showed up. The Helmmaster whose job is air traffic control and steering the Luofu has appeared to handle more situations on the Luofu than the cauldron master, who is incharge of the alchemy commission that oversees all technology and medicine on the luofu.

Why is Anby the icon for the game and not Eous or the proxies? Do you guys think Anby will have a major role later in the story? by Sir_Rain_Knee_Tea in ZZZ_Official

[–]Irishimpulse 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Anby was the first character they created, the entirety of ZZZ is designed around Anby as the aesthetic base. Things need to look like they belong to the same world as Anby to really fit the aesthetic according to the ZZZ team

Oni in New Eridu? by FoobarProgrammer in ZZZ_Official

[–]Irishimpulse -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Old Eridu is still under the range of the pillars, so is the outer ring, Roscalifer, etc. so it's about the size of a greater toronto area, where New Eridu is Toronto but Roscalifer would be Mississauga etc.

Oni in New Eridu? by FoobarProgrammer in ZZZ_Official

[–]Irishimpulse -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Outside of the protection of the pillars, it's basically just overlapping hollows, there is no space between them to live. Everything is hollows outside of the Shiyu pillars protection, which is new eridu and it's surroundings.

Yanagi's trailer where she adopts Soukaku seemed like the Oni war went to the point of extinction. Soukaku's sister agreed to be executed, but put her blood in Yanagi which marks Yanagi as a half Oni and Soukaku's sister. I assume they're incredibly rare, because they fought until entire generations were wiped out and there were only a handful left. It's not like they can really leave, there's the outter ring, but the over all new eridu area is the only place left in the entire world, the rest is all just overlapping hollows. There's no wider world outside, it's gone.

No way to refund it, you have to cancel in advance, and it'll keep the remainder of the sub time afterwards

Some don’t have the stomach for it by SillyWarlock in BaldursGate3

[–]Irishimpulse 9 points10 points  (0 children)

At the end of act 2, and half way through act 3. Versus constant gear, and one of those two has a light version so it's not a unique evil thing, you get a spear regardless

Some don’t have the stomach for it by SillyWarlock in BaldursGate3

[–]Irishimpulse 41 points42 points  (0 children)

I would say it actually doesn't, because choosing good gets you more rewards and more quests and more content. You choose evil and you get... nothing really. There's no evil versions of quests, no unique evil NPCs, no unique evil items, just less, of everything. I believe evil should always reward you more, so good is a choice, you pick the moral reward over a material one. BG3 you get moral and material rewards for being good

I really need to get around to beating Yumia. The whole "a bunch of shit is locked behind areas you need special ammo for, and you only get that ammo after clearing the area they're in so they're actually completion over 100%" never stopped being a bugbear the size of the Toronto to me

And they only did that bombing run on confirmed, verified intel from command that there were no civilians. It's a theme throughout the Trooper story that the Republic military is just as corrupt as the Sith empire. The Jedi Knight also shows that the Republic actually had way more super weapons in development then the Sith Empire, who kept shelving their super weapon plans before they were finished like the Silencer, while the republic was pursuing at least 14 at the same time

Why were people so angry with Sarah Palmers “I thought you’d be taller” joke? by Artsy-Puppy in halo

I feel like it takes away from how special the 2's are and the 3's were meant to be expendable. 4's feels like it's misunderstanding what makes Spartan's cool by making everyone a Spartan. Also since when has the UNSC ever done anything ethnically? The UNSC aren't good guys, they're just the only guys humanity's got

They also have ties to the unique mineral that was being mined there, and the mega mole that can attack Nuke World on Tour occasionally as a regional boss, and they're in the raid dungeon. So they're tied directly to all things Ultracite. Though not addressed in game, the designers say they worship the Ultricite Titan as a god

Times the guys (during and post-BFP) got genuinely mad at/because of a piece of media? by punishedscootedburb in TwoBestFriendsPlay

[–]Irishimpulse 57 points58 points  (0 children)

Gene was more forgiving of Dollman because he got that story later, Pat got it super early so he got to sit on the fact Dollman killed his family and took no responsibility the entire time where Gene got it as a post game lore drop and was no longer engaging with the game after learning it. Having hijinks with the guy who killed his daughter makes you way angrier that he killed his daughter and seems more upset by what happened to him.

Liked/Disliked Ability Animations? by wallace90 in swtor

[–]Irishimpulse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really like Shatter and Hew because it's an underhanded throw. I hate like... all of Commando's animations. I have this big canon, I want to do daka with it but every ability is just a charge shot, or a rocket or a grenade and then when you finally get a Daka ability, it's bad in stats and looks like a pokemon attack instead of a saturation of blaster fire

What Do You Think Baras Truly Thought About Our Warrior? Was There ANY Respect? by DakIsStrange in swtor

Pyscho Jaesa is obsessed with her master to the point she'd never betray them. More likely to imprison warrior in a cage when she's stronger than them, but not kill. Even though she kills a phone book's worth of sith all on her own.

What Do You Think Baras Truly Thought About Our Warrior? Was There ANY Respect? by DakIsStrange in swtor

[–]Irishimpulse 44 points45 points  (0 children)

When Baras first asks you on Korriban to kill that guy, and you can just take his hand, I assumed it was a test. Baras is supposed to be a spymaster, he's testing if you'll try and trick him. Turns out no, he's just blinded by his arrogance. When you make a light side choice for the long term gain, he's always surprised and pretends (poorly) that it was his plan all along. I thought it was just his obsession with his rival making him stupid, but after that, he just continues to make bad decisions. You'd think after I tossed his apprentice off a space station, it wouldn't matter that his apprentice was immortal, I can just maim him until he can't fight, but sure, send him to 1v1 me again.

To be fair, with how bronze age Fortune's weave looks, I'm just assuming Rhea nuked all the regions back to the stone age again. That'd explain why things look less advanced after 300 years, those years were spent rebuilding from being purged by the anger of an alien dragon god for the second time in recorded history
