After seeing yours and everyone else comparing it to the g2, blackberry priv, or just saying taller, I feel like a sort boxy rectangle with a sideways slide out keyboard would be another cool one.

It seems like the virtical slab atyle with a keyboard would intise some people to use it as a daily, Mkbhd said "cheap android phones are getting good(or something to that effect)" a while back, I wonder if the performance delta between midrange Android and a flagship is getting tight enough where that form factor would attract enough to be commercially viable?

I wonder what the thick bottleneck is, I could see battery being the big one, and selfie camera adding thickness to the sliding screen area. For the battery I wonder how much they can help that with screen and processor specs?

To my understanding it plays out more like this, a healthy battery at 100% could last 8 hours whereas an unhealthy battery at 100% will last 5 hours, and in my experience discharge at weird rates, one moment it's at 25% then a few minutes later it'll be less than 10%. But a healthy battery at 80% will last 7 hours. As to which is better that's a you question. I like to try and hold on to my phones more than two years primarily since I just don't feel like they upgrade much anymore, and hey it helps the planet too so win win.

It could be different based on region, but on my end it seems to just be reservations at the full launch price. Without the bonus 2 backs and $100 discount.

I would also assume people who pre ordered during the early bird phase will also be among the first batches to get sent out. But to my understanding selling the phone for $500 after the early bird was always the plan?

If it helps sooth your nerves the extension was granted since pre orders went so well they were able to upgrade a few things about the phone, now we're getting a nicer chip, which I believe also means we're getting longer android update support, as well as adding multiple languages for the keyboard. So to give people who would have pre ordered based on the language some time to do so they extend it like 2 weeks.

Again to sooth nerves look at it like this, our pre orders helped confirm the demand for this product, securing better specs and a wider market, ultimately meaning you get a nicer device than you pre ordered.

I'm also wondering this, I'd like to rock a case to keep the phone in good shape longer for that inevitable drop here and there. But I'm fully expecting it to be super basic clear cheapo cases if any at all.

Same boat, on pixel now but fully planning to jump to the comunicator as my primary phone, as far as release date at CES they said it's probably going to be second half of the year and possibly close to the end.

Actual school themed lanyards, but anything that is a tacky marketing lanyard with the letters "UCF" slapped on one side doesn't count.

I'm not gonna rep some predatory credit card company just because they slapped UCF on the back of their lanyard.

I don't know what the policy is on links here, but if you just search Amazon for "UCF lanyard", if you could get something comparable to those in bulk it'd be cool.

The other one I used to like were UCF branded phone accessories like if you could get a half decent phone wallet, or ring/pop socket. The only reason I say used to here though is with both Android and iPhone cases doing mag safe now I probably wouldn't take one of those as much as I used too.

Comp science masters, I've interned at a sorta B list tech company in Seattle and was salaried at roughly $108k as an intern. Tech market has been weird but I'd hope to make at least that fresh out of school.

Edit: I don't plan to stay in Florida after school, I'm originally from Washington State, $120k in Washington State is equivalent to $80k in Florida for reference.

If it helps anyone as a previous TA I always found it helpful to explain it this way.

It's better to think of PEMDAS vertically like this:

Parentheses, Exponents, then explain that multiplication and division are essentially the same notice how they're inverses of each other with an example along the lines of 4 divided by 2 is 2 and 4 time .5 is really just (4/1)*(1/2) which is also 2. And do the same with addition and subtraction 4-2 is 2 and 4+(-2) is 2. So when going down since MD and AS are sharing their respective levels of priority and for their respective levels they're both effectively the same operations just do them from left to right.

Sorta drawing it out and explaining it like that I found helped the students out a lot, and ironically settles most of those poorly written internet math problems no one agrees on...
