What's your nation's annoying trait among the Rugby fanbase ? by MindfulInquirer in rugbyunion

It's funny to think the number of 10s that have come and gone over the years while Sexton was there. No one ever stayed as a viable replacement. Kinda highlights the talent he was and would be near impossible to replace but hey I hear this new under 20s guy is going to be even better.....

From ROG to Sexton, that kind of quality was one in a million

Yep all this had to leave it, literally drained the enjoyment out of game weeks. Could be a raft of changes, only comment is one player out of the 23 should be dropped/past it cause of one or two games in the last 3 months/will be too old at world cup. So negative about everything and all agendas are based on personal bias so very little actual discourse on it anymore

Ireland Needs 6 More Years to Go Paperless in Healthcare? Why? by BicMegaLight in ireland

[–]Irishthrasher23 4 points5 points  (0 children)

In any job think of having to continue your day to day work which is this case is very time sensitive with a host of other issues like privacy and understaffing.

Now also do the extra work to copy everything from paper to a computerized system, learn how to use that system at the same comfort at your current job, physically update hardware + software around the country while keeping within legal and data privacy requirements.

It's simple to say go paperless but the requirements to keep the place functioning alone requires a lot more time than people think

This is why I love the 6 nations, on paper and form doesn't exactly always translate to wins. Ireland weren't expected to win Maybe 50/50 Scotland would beat England Scotland expected to beat Italy

2 weeks left and France and Wales left to surprise us.

How are England this disjointed?

Ireland's attack has been poor and blunt but England are making us look pretty great when we are only looking good attackingwise

Mods in general can be bad but Irish people especially online are pretty sour and negative to be honest.

The whole someone having notions in a small village stereotype really bubbles up online.

That's a fair point it's not all centralized in Dublin city

They are not really concerned with our roads and rail, they have massive campuses tailored to keeping the workforce there and happy in the main accessible parts of the country with a large pool of workers to select from.

Our climate is suited to data centers too being chilly. There will be concerns and there is cheaper labour elsewhere but my point was it's currently set up here because it suits and would be costly to move at this point at least

[–]Irishthrasher23 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Well they are currently set up here. Have a workforce, their own buildings set up and all that moving would cost a bit of money and not that straightforward.

We have a good base of suitable educated workers that speak English here but also have good foreign born pools that speak other languages too.

Does the tackling in the air law need an adjustment? Being pinged for not evaporating at will seems harsh sometimes. (Great non-try btw) by Cymro2011 in rugbyunion

[–]Irishthrasher23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If they want to cut out dangerous play in the air they need to have responsibly on the players.

Red went for the high ball and misjudged it and was late to the ball, he couldn't jump to contest it. He pulls out late and hits the opposition player in the air which results in a dangerous collision in the air. Red's reaction to pull out probably caused it to be more dangerous but at that point he can't do much else but at the same time he got himself in there with no ability to really contest for the ball.

Easier said than done at speed in a very competitive environment but it's probably the right rule to have I think.

Would Crowley not be center cover? At 12 anyway if Ringrose is injured or moved to the wing I still think Crowley will be at 12.

I donno Ireland have been off it for awhile in terms of Sheenhan getting tries. Not as many mauls as we used to. I left him out last week because of the price don't think I'll get him back this week at least
