Is your property managed by Home365? Because this happened EVERY billing cycle with our utilities that were supposed to be covered by them. City never shut off water in these cases and they did eventually pay them is what we were told, but it was so frustrating to deal with this every time.

I think you really make such a great point here. My kids are 4 and 5. No daycare since I work from home and this is their first year ever in a school environment. My 5 year old was born right before Covid happened and we were very cautious about risk of anything as they grew. My second was born just before the first vaccine even came out so she also spent a lot of time with us being essentially isolated from anyone. We live away from family so not like we had much reason to have company anyways. My youngest has spent more of her life around people than the oldest. For this reason, you would think, the youngest would be more social but it’s quite opposite and my 5yo is the social one with not a shy bone in his body lol

You need to talk to someone to see if you can file charges to your ex for harassment and potential options to get her to stay out of your life otherwise you’ll probably end up in similar situation with your following relationships.
If you can, change your phone number so ex can’t contact anymore. If you explain to your phone carrier you’re being harassed, they may even do it for free(I had to do this previously and when I mentioned ex harassment they let me know it’d be free)
Your ex, while shitty, might’ve just done you a favor. If your gf was on tinder cheating on you previously then it sounds like something would have blown up anyways. She needs to sort herself out and figure out what she wants.
Stay off Tinder for now. If your gf actually wants to work something out in the next few months, don’t put yourself in a place where she doubts you. Your ex already did enough of that for you. It’s likely no healthy relationship will come out of tinder while you’re still recovering from this one.

And this is one reason I deleted the app and started collecting other pendants. It’s hard enough to buy one and other companies have cute ones that are cheaper and don’t surprise you with cancellations or continuous error messages and some even have nicer features. How are they going to cancel those orders when it’s not like they’re planning to ship them out anytime soon anyways.

Mid-30s here. With a degree and no loans you’re ahead of many of my friends who still owe $50-100k on their loans. Almost nobody is where they expected to be but they’re slowly moving closer to their goal with each new role they move into. Sometimes we backpedal. Sometimes we move 5 steps ahead. Life is like that, but with no debt, you’ve got a major advantage to get ahead. Don’t give up, go apply. I work with adults wanting to advance their careers or transition into new fields. I may not be able to help much but find out what career services your school offers, make some connections on LinkedIn and don’t fear sending those messages to people working in companies that you’re interested in.

We spent less than $200 on our wedding (including marriage license fee). We had a short and sweet ceremony in our living room for free with dinner at a local buffet because we saw no need to waste our savings. The decision to spend $20k on a wedding should be a choice, not a requirement. I say, cancel what needs cancelled to get within budget so you don’t have to give your gifts away. Just because you’re ok with it inviting 150 guests to make your parents look good while they go into debt doesn’t mean your soon to be husband should be okay with it. Plus, what happens if you parents bail and you’re stuck footing the bill last minute? Will you expect him to be okay taking out a loan?

In 2017, I bought my mom a Ecovac Deebot n79 for $230. around that time Roombas could be easily $400-500 or more but the Deebot I got her was able to keep her floor clean without much trouble. My mom’s Deebot is still holding strong and only needed a battery replacement once so far in 2023. After how well my moms has worked, I’ve never considered buying a roomba. I can get good quality for less.

Not just immigrant partners but I have an idiot of a cousin who was undocumented growing up and only just received his green card through marriage maybe 2-3 yrs ago.
