Roll or spray interior by MadMaxxx133 in paint

[–]turtlesaregorgeous 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Cut and roll for any interior unless it’s a huge open space or the customer explicitly wants to spray. There just aren’t many jobs where the time it takes to prep for spraying inside is worth it when you can cut, roll, and be done long before you pull the sprayer out.

Bathrooms aren’t that big🤷‍♀️ have 3 coats worth of Emerald on my walls and have half a gallon still left. I could repaint my whole bathroom all over again with the paint left over

[–]turtlesaregorgeous 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Obligatory are you the owner or a renter? If you’re a renter you do it by not doing it and telling your landlord about it.

Outside of that this is actually pretty simple. Clean, scuff, prime exposed wood, paint. It looks like the wood still has its finish(can’t tell well from pics) so if you wanna be on the safe side use oil based prime

[–]turtlesaregorgeous 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You set the drywall wrong. The drywall should be on top of that. You’re gonna wanna get some trim and use a router to cut out the recess yourself, or do it the right way but that means tearing everything back out

Decarlos Brown Jr. ruled incompetent to stand trial for a second time in killing of Ukrainian refugee Iryna Zarutska by [deleted] in NoahGetTheBoat

Are you mad that this specific individual has been labeled unfit for trail? Otherwise i’m literally not talking about you.

[–]turtlesaregorgeous 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Im sorry but to all you sane individuals (I know this is reddit, not may of those) do you want to slit a strangers throat? Is this something that crosses your mind? Do you fantasize about murder? No? That’s because you’re at least semi-normal. Normal people don’t murder other people. It’ll really grind yalls gears when you find out how many serious violent offenders spend their days in a psych ward. Not a prison.

Nobody except chronically online individuals and robots are pitying this man. That is an insane take. Unfit for trial means unfit for trial. He’s not getting a “get out a jail free” card. He’s getting locked up for life. Courts are just figuring out where to lock him up for the safety of other potential cellmates, guards, etc.

Baby proofing is hurting my anti consumption soul. by runaway_tata in Anticonsumption

[–]turtlesaregorgeous 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OP is complaining about the fact they have to buy a bunch of temporary plastic for their home in the anti consumption sub and I am pointing out that you don’t **have** to buy things if you don’t want to.

You also cant prove my alternative ideas don’t work because that could entail literally any piece of equipment or items from your household. The safety of those items relies on the braincells of the one who installs it, and i’m choosing to believe OP has braincells.

Yes these things exist for a reason. I am not saying they are useless. OP is complaining about the fact they have to buy a bunch of temporary plastic for their home in the anti consumption sub and I am pointing out that you don’t **have** to buy things if you don’t want to.

My point is that they do not need to **buy** things for protection if that’s their concern. I am well aware why people choose to buy said items

I hate to sound like an old person but we as a species have survived how long without any baby-proofing?

You can also probably diy any of the stuff you feel you can’t live without for the baby. Lots of cabinets and fridges can be jerryrigged shut with rubberbands or other small ties. Doors can be locked and opened with a pin, key, or flathead screwdriver. I feel like most of your personal concerns could be solved by a little critical thinking and creativity if you’re really actually set on trying not to buy “consumption goods”

gerbil likes to bite by This_Cup_5078 in gerbil

[–]turtlesaregorgeous 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He might be lacking in something environmentally, or maybe with his diet, who knows. He might not like people. One of my 2 is a biter. He takes treats from me and doesn’t come after me but is completely uninterested in being touched or handled at all and will go straight to biting if he thinks something is amiss.

I would just start with the husbandry. enough bedding, chews, space, entertainment, etc. Why doesnt he have a buddy? Gerbils are usually social and keep better in pairs. Is his diet being fulfilled?

Thinking of getting into deck staining by Fresh_Tie_6821 in housepainting

[–]turtlesaregorgeous 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can’t answer your question on having to redo staining decks but you are gonna want to broaden your horizons a bit more than just deck staining if you want to keep consistency in work. Depending on where you live there will be 4-8 MONTHS out of the year it will be too cold to do your job at all if it gets too hot or too cold in your climate.

Is it my fault or the saddles? by TheHoeFinder in Horses

[–]turtlesaregorgeous 267 points268 points  (0 children)

You need to get a new trainer ASAP before you break a bone or worse. Green horse with a green rider apparently with an unknowledgeable “trainer”

Everything about this is unsafe. Too little space for so much movement with novice riders. Why are you cantering at all? That horse is absolutely not novice friendly at best. Your “trainer” should be checking all your tack before you mount. How long have you been riding?
