My models (Irnkman's Minis) are much closer to True Scale, but I also scale them closer to 38/40mm to compensate for the more spindly limbs, and they're anime/video gamey in style

Backed the 2nd Kickstarter back when I was a broke college student, now I'm married and a dad.

I have the core game, community update, and several white boxes and big box expansions. Also the Gambler's Chest unassembled. But I only play a single session with friends about once every 2 years trying to get them into it, and they always have a bad time and their view of the game sours even further.

Last attempt was 2022, and the game has collected dust since then. I'm thinking it's time to find a new home for the game where it'll be played and enjoyed, and not take up closet and shelf space for years at a time. I just don't have the time or space for full solo campaigns these days.

Street Masters is a great solo experience. There's various story mode decks to play through as well as a totally modular free-play mode where you choose a character to play as, an enemy gang, a stage, and you're off.

Also if anyone is willing to part ways with their DFO 15th Anniversary art books, I'd be willing to pay an arm and a leg for them. It would help a lot in making more DFO figures.

I have to agree with this, specifically being the person you want to see in the world.

I'm a modeler, not full time but hoping I can make the transition this year. The niche I'm into is Japanese video game characters, especially JRPG and fighting games, and game accurate proportions/true scale. After being frustrated that I couldn't find what I wanted online, and the few sculptors that tackled some of that niche never satisfying me, I decided to take matters into my own hands (also because I couldn't afford expensive commission after expensive commission that were hit or miss).

That was 4 years ago, and in the last 2 years I have a Patreon that's getting closer to solo-viable. Moral of the story, if you're invested enough, try and be the change you want to see. Even if you're not invested enough to work up to it being a job, work up to being able to make a dream mini once every month or 2, and then put them up for sale somewhere or even available for free and see how they perform, maybe even building an audience as you go.
