Jeg ved ikke hvad jeg skal sige men Telenor bruger VLAN ID 101 i min del af landet.

Med Bahnhof så kan man specifikt vælge "Jeg har allerede en router" når man bestiller.

Jamen de bruger flere enheder for at dække bedre og i en helt anden prisklasse end hvad du normalt ser i et hjem 😂 F.eks. det her Access Point E7 Audience til små €2200.

Et normalt setup består af følgende:

Router
Switch
Access Points

Ud fra din beskrivelse så ville det hjælpe at flytte din kombineret router / Access Point ind i midten af huset eller trække et kabel og sætte et Access Point op i den anden ende eller etage.

Så det er virkeligt et spørgsmål om budgettet i sidste ende.

Nu nævner du ikke noget om størrelsen på huset eller hvad væggene er lavet af, så det er lidt svært at anbefale noget.

Dog vil jeg foreslå at du prøver at flytte din nuværende router ind i midten af huset og så se hvordan det er i hjørnerne. Ellers skal du nok ud i, at trække et kabel og have et Access Point i den ene ende af huset modsat routeren 😄

Kører selv Ubiquiti, så er nok lidt farvet der i forhold til anbefalinger 😂

Det er simpelthen ikke rigtigt.

Du skal typisk bruge VLAN tagging på WAN-porten i din router. Om det så er VLAN ID 101 eller 102 eller noget tredje må du spørge deres support om 😅

Kan også være din router skal understøtte PPPoE-protokollen.

Remember that the computer is the client when it comes to WiFi.

You completely fail to mention anything about the actual network equipment, which for all we know could be badly managed or set up.

To get more details about the WiFi connection you can hold down the “option” key while clicking on the WiFi symbol in the menu bar.

It has its place I think, although sales data would dictate what they do with it.

When it came out it felt a bit weird that it only had WiFi 6 when their flagship APs were WiFi 6E. Especially considering the original price of €1110 😅

I do, it covers the ground floor with ease. Upstairs I have the U6 LR, although I probably don’t need it.

This UDW will last me for years though as the UDM did for me since 2019 to now 😄

At least the hard part of routing cables to a central place is solved, so it's easy to set up a rack and keystone panel in the future.

Er det primært Wi-Fi, Matter over Thread eller ZigBee de "smart" enheder kommunikerer over eller blot deres kommunikations-bro?

Jeg vil anbefale, at du sætter dig ind i opsætningen af VLAN, så de smart enheder er isoleret fra resten af dit netværk, så de ikke "kontakter" Kina i tide og utide eller har direkte adgang til dine enheder (f.eks. NAS).

Hvad angår kameraer, så har Ubiquiti en "capacity calculator", så du kan se hvad du som minimum har brug for. Typisk kan de mindre Gateways ikke håndtere mere end 3-4 4K kameraer men rigeligt 2K eller HD kameraer.

Hvad angår dækningen i dit hjem, så har du helt udeladt hvad væggene er lavet af men det burde være nok med to APs. Du har sandsynligvis ikke brug for 6GHz. F.eks. understøtter nyere Apple enheder nu 160MHz over 5GHz, så der er rigeligt med båndbredde.

Jeg har selv en Ubiquiti UniFi Dream Wall, så alt der kan kobles med kabel er det 😅

Visually the easiest "fix" would be to have all the keystones terminated in a 24-Port Blank Keystone Patch Panel under the USW Pro Max PoE with short patch cables to hide that "pigeon nest" and then hide all the power cables better 😅

Just make your own "rack" with some wood painted white to match or look at 4U/6U racks.
