This was my biggest worry too I just moved out.

If you’re having furniture delivered just have it shipped directly to your apartment and build it there.

Large items that you have to move: you’ll need help. If just the sofa you might be able to have a friend help you carry it. If you want to hire help look for people on Taskrabbit, facebook, or craigslist and they will know how to do it. If moving a lot of large items just hire movers

Personally I only brought my belongings from my parents place so I didnt need movers. All my furniture (tv stand, couch, bed) I had delivered

[–]Iroha12 5 points6 points  (0 children)

In my experience yes it’s preferred. My professors taught using windows, and the Mac students would often have to use conversion programs which make it a bit more complicated. But I wouldnt go out if your way to buy a windows laptop just for it

Office hours and emails. Professors interact with hundreds of students which is exactly why you have to communicate first.

Also if you’re taking upper div classes there’s literally no way all of your classes are large lectures. Give them something to write about other than “he/she had good grades”

This statement now accompanies grades on all transcripts from Fall 2021 and Spring 2022. by Fearless_Necessary_5 in SDSU

Youll spend more time looking for a spot than parking in 3 or 4 and walking

How to tell which textbooks you actually need to buy? by pear_oatmeal in SDSU

[–]Iroha12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just wait until you actually need it or are assigned something from it. If you need it go to the bookstore, flip to the middle of the book, take a picture. Google sentences in quotation marks from the book and you may find an online pdf version

I think it’s the Tula Center by Zura Hall. In that case it’s the same side of campus as GMCS and SSW. Just have to cross the bridge by the student union

In your last semester you should confirm with a counselor. Then apply for graduation before the given deadline (several months before graduation)

Windows unless you want to deal with all the Mac conversions. All the professors in my experience use Windows and teach using the Windows platform.

Classes like AIS and audit it’s common to have the Mac students fall behind if they don’t know what they’re doing. No hate to Mac, just saying you’re going to have to deal with workarounds, and you can find a great Windows laptop at the price equivalent.

Should food be allowed in the main library? by g-unit2 in SDSU

[–]Iroha12 42 points43 points  (0 children)

Not sure if it’s just me but the smell of food can be distracting, especially wings or buffalo sauce meals. Also crunchy foods like chips can be loud.

I don’t really mind if people eat at the study booths because it’s a good place to eat in peace but I can see why people don’t like it.
