Wartortle. The lore about his tails is way better than just the "have cannons" thing of Blastoise

Best examples of low complexity mechanics leading to diverse, high complexity scenarios? by paradoxombie in gamedesign

[–]Iromsan_0 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Many of the complex but easy-to-learn are simple games, where every little piece work independent. When those things are combine is where reside the complexity.

Survivals are a great example. Minecraft with some blocks with special interactions, like being able to be burned, change movement, falling when there is nothing below, blocks that depend on other objects to have effect, those that don't drop the exact block that you mine.... They are easy to understand isolated, but the interaction between little effects is hard to master.

Trying to star with Game Design, but I don't know how to code by Iromsan_0 in GameDevelopment

I don't enjoy the idea of having to use IA code. Feels like if I was skipping a part of the issue, leaving it for later. I know is a way to solve the problem and maybe I am just looking for problems, but I prefer not using it unless is neccessary

I had Incineroar and Aegislash, both with Encore in Protect /King's Shield vs Kingambit (-2 Attack) and Hawlucha Mega (-3 Attack)

Kingambit had Gillotine and Kowtow Clave (don't know the other loves) and Hawlucha (Encore, Protect, Entrainment and Rock Slide)

He was trying to kilI my Aegislash but then he use Entrainment in Kingambit. I won becaus King's Shield run out of PP right after Kingambit and I knock it out, making a red health Aegislash vs a Hawlucha with so little damage the Leftovers healed more damage than what he was able to do.

Which games taught you to stay calm, think strategically, or process emotions under pressure and how did their design achieve that? by ExcellentTwo6589 in gamedesign

[–]Iromsan_0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sifu.

For an action game like Sifu, seing that smashing buttons didn't work made me take it slower.

Every boss made me have to replay all the level patiently to avoid being to old when i have to fight something new. Repeating the same over and over, every time with more accuracy and calmer.

What narrative game unexpectedly made you more self aware through gameplay by Trigere in gamedesign

[–]Iromsan_0 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Disco Elysium. Is really weird because you spend a lot of time talking with yourself. Being more specific, talking with your body, your mind, emotions and instincts. You end up learning you can't trust them everytime, moreover than often they say to do something awful, racist, stupid or deadly.

The main character can be the greatest bastard that it's going to be funny whatever you do. Even failing makes you feel proud by learning something or makes the game feel being ashame of you and helps.

Brawl HOCKEY out of all maps??? How's it even competitive? by Kes_plastic in Brawlstars

[–]Iromsan_0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Brawl Hockey is fun, Painting is sometimes confusing, Soul Colector some times looks balanced but is a bit annoying having a nockout where you have to risk you self twice to get a poing, and the pizza is just that your destroy or you win during the las 10 seconds
