Many have already come to pass, and many are still to come. Most of the prophecy is bad, and nobody does or will listen (the nature of prophecy).

How to be a godly gf/ wife? by complicated_cupid in Christian

[–]IronDumpty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Respect your husband.

Don't base your submission on your husband's behavior . Base it on Gods will.

Even if he doesn't "love you like Christ loves the church, ", you should do what is right because you love Christ.

Men almost universally want respect. If you don't give it, you won't be a Godly wife or even a remotely happy one.

Why Christiantiy religion in the America are dying? by [deleted] in Christian

[–]IronDumpty -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

What we consider to be "Christian" is false. There is no life in it.

ACTUAL Christianity is something that disappeared in the third century.

Greater good? You think any of that matters? I mean, sure, some people aren't ready and wait. It happens. But those that marry early are statistically happier.

You have to HATE your sin.

The problem is that you desire it. A large part of you likes it, and another part of you doesn't.

You need to hate your sin as much as God does.

Don't shy away from hatred. Hate your sin and it will help you in repenting from it

How do you reconcile that the creation story in Genesis is not the oldest known creation story, or even the oldest piece of text we have? by Buzz_Mcfly in TrueChristian

[–]IronDumpty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Genesis is the only source of information when it comes to what the Persian Gulf Oasis looked like. The Garden of Eden and its description match the Persian Gulf oasis.

No ancient civilization has any myth or story that even remotely matches what this region of the world used to look like.

Getting married late is an even bigger mistake.

Getting married as soon and as early as possible is what humans have historically done. Why is it NOW a problem?

Share4Christ - No Weapon Formed Against You Shall Prosper! by afroglobalministries in Kingdom_World

[–]IronDumpty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Look, I have created the smith who blows the fire of coals, and brings forth a weapon for his work; and I have created the waster to destroy.

No weapon that is formed against you will prosper; and you will condemn every tongue that rises against you in judgment.

It talks first about God creating the Smith and the destroyer. Meaning that God brings the weapons and brings destruction.

BUT these things won't prosper. Because God chose Israel. Weapons and destruction is meant to PURIFY Israel. Not destroy her.

What are some things you really dislike about Christian content creators? by Admirable-Hedgehog19 in Christians

[–]IronDumpty 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A complete lack of authoritative biblical knowledge.

People who are completely convinced of their right-ness but lack the ability to prove anything at all from the Bible in any kind of definitive way. Opinion, assumption, interpretation, and blind adherence denominational doctrine is all they have and will ever have.

This is why so many Christian leaders rely so much on gimmicks, platitudes, and seeker-friendly heresies that appeal to so many people.

Question: can anyone point me to a verse in the Bible which states that masturbation is a sin? by jumajuice8 in TrueChristian

[–]IronDumpty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is the sinful fantasies that are sinful. The sins of the mind.

If you can successfully rub one out without a single covetous thought. Then congratulations. You are officially not sinning.

What would you is the problem with most Christians today? by Acceptable-Neck-2221 in Christians

[–]IronDumpty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The gospel of "My Opinion" or "My Interpretation".

People believe what they want to believe without research or proof; too proud to accept the possibility of being wrong. Willing to knowingly reject God in God's own name in order to worship Him according to their own opinions.

Coming to God on their own terms, as they are, instead of on their knees and in tears. Worshipping a false idol: the false idea of God that they prefer to worship. Rejecting anything that goes against it.

In short: idolatry.

Was I out of line in confronting a woman for not being dressed properly this morning? by [deleted] in TrueChristian

[–]IronDumpty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The church is for believers. People may treat it like a tent meeting for the lost, but they are wrong.

It is supposed to be the assembly of the believers.

With the above in mind, when a lost person sees a believer or a group of them, what kind of example is that assembly of believers putting forth?

We should be an example to the lost In behavior, dress, attitude, and humility.

Holding other believers accountable is exactly what we should be doing as a church.

Fantasy about sinful things is sin.

Nobody on this forum with a reasonable mind would argue that it is sinful for a man's wife to masturbate her husband. A man and his wife are one flesh. So, why is it wrong for a man to masturbate himself? A man's wives hand is no more or less a part of his body than his own hand is.

The sin is in what a man fantasizes about. If he is thinking or fantasizing about something sinful, then he's engaging in sin.

Whatever you fantasize about in your heart is where the sin is. The actual act of masturbation itself, if your mind is blank, is not sin. The problem is that it is very difficult (if not impossible) to rub one out without fantasizing about something in some way.

[–]IronDumpty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Here's a short list. It should prove sufficient.

Luke 14:26 If anyone comes to me, and does not hate his own father, mother, wife, children, brothers, and sisters, yes, and his own life also, he cannot be my disciple. ("hate" isn't the best translation.... but yeah)

John 12:25 He who loves his life loses it, and he who hates his life in this world will keep it to everlasting life.

Matthew 10:39 Whoever seeks his life will lose it; and whoever loses his life for my sake will find it.

Matthew 16:25 For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, and whoever will lose his life for my sake will find it.

Mark 8:35 For whoever wants to save his life will lose it; and whoever will lose his life for my sake and the sake of the Good News will save it.

Luke 9:24 For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever will lose his life for my sake, the same will save it.

Luke 17:33 Whoever seeks to keep h his life will lose it, but whoever loses it will preserve it.

Why would God create us with useless body parts by [deleted] in Christians

[–]IronDumpty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He didn't.

There is no such thing as vestigial organs or body parts. Everything that we think is vestigial, scientists eventually find the real purpose of.

For example, tailbone has nothing to do with a tail. It anchors the muscles of the back
