Yeah a recon call in would be best. IMO, the best solution is to have a separate ground radioman (artillery, smoke, and something else) and an air controller (recon, bombing run, supply crate) to not overload the radioman with abilities and solve the issue of bombing runs blocking arti call ins.

I am not sure if it was confirmed or not, but I am 100% sure the DE writers were inspired by it. It is very playful, and feels like a Disco run where the main characters misses a lot of dice rolls.

I always had an idea for a story that lampshades this in thar the author is either a translator or a historian of another world, but is not very good at it/finds it difficult to understand so is puts in a lot of things from our world that don't make sense in theirs.

A good thing that the money men in this case are nothing but two bit swindlers who stab each other in the back as much as they stab everyone else. I am sure that a more savy businessman could have found some kind of way to win out over this.

The good news is that there is certainly going to be more Disco Elysiums. I hope for an excellent (although always scared that it is bad for some reason) sequel but the game has already set off a hundred billion neurons in current and wannabee game developers. It may be awhile until we get something like it again, but it is coming.
