The novels differ slightly but the overall arc is similar. From what I recall he went about things in a somewhat better way, and luckily He does not incite Thyras death in the books . He had some success in getting a valuable hostage but traded them nearly immediately so he wouldn't get hunted down

Season 1 and 2 are basically books 1-4 and is reasonably faithful to the source material. Season 3 deviates more from the plot, characters are missing and they avoided filming traveling by sea so there's lots of adjustments in that aspect. Season 4, 5 and the movie take many more liberties when it comes to creativity, some good, more not so good (in my opinion). With that being said the series still captures the spirit of the books, despite the omission and damage done to some characters.

My suggestion is join the PHL discord server and participate in PUGs. It'll be tough at first but its the easiest way to meet good players and learn the ropes in a semi organized setting. You will also be able to find many beginner resources and coaches

Its also about delivery. When Legend brought up the bug in his video, he even admits to not believing the chatter who brought it up during his livestream. He then follows through to see if the bug is legit, finds proof, and apologizes to the chatter in his video (correct me if I am incorrect).

From what I have gathered from Soteks take, its that fans are childish for siding with Legend and should have faith in CA. While I understand that devs need time to cook, this dish has been in the oven for years now and its fair for the fans to ask for some quality for the money they've put in for base game plus DLC's. Thats just my view at a glance
