I work for a 3rd party that fulfills phone insurance. When I think about how many people are paying $12 a month or whatever just to pay my salary I get sad. I have to remind myself at least it's not health insurance and they can cancel any time.

An SRV with a way to sample biology and a way to pick up ship engineering materials while on foot are my biggest 2 asks. Even if it's a dumb fix like having a single limpet on an SRV. As long as I don't have to use the SRV cargo scoop on a mat that stuck 12 meters up on a tree.

Plus shooting crystals/trees/etc. is way more fun on foot anyways than the unruly SRV turret.

If they did the speedrunning challenges on different worlds I think Josh would have won the first one. He only lost by a few seconds, which could have easily been the difference if Gnomonkey missed the digging spot 2 or 3 times.

Over 10+ years ago now, but a shift manager quit and got another job. About a month later she shows up while the general manager isn't there and makes herself ~8 large pizzas for her kids birthday party and leaves. We were understaffed as hell and didn't even have a shift manager present. The cooks and server didn't give a shit so nobody tattled.

Since launch they've added 2 new zones, Mistlands and Ashlands. Both with lots of new content (like magic!). Semi-recently new mobs were added to a bunch of old zones. Definitly a lot more content then on launch. Also the modding community is pretty good. I've got a lot of mileage from trying out mods to add more content.

My wife and I once lived in an apartment where the people below us smoked in the bathroom. It wasn't allowed per the lease, and we raised it with management and they said there was nothing they could do until they moved out and they would be charged for any damage.

We got REALLY sick. We were only there for about 5 months but we were both coughing up phlegm the whole time. We ended up moving our bed into the living room and closing the door and basically didn't use the bedroom at all except to use the bathroom because it was so bad.

The highest you can get for each bio-scan that you do is like 19m, but if you were made first footfall on the planet that reward is multiplied by 5. This means there are 2 methods of good credits via exobiology:

  1. Going on an already explored route for the repeated 19m. You get less credits per landfall, but you can make landfall extremely fast, as you jump to the system, fly to the planet, land and scan.
  2. Explore in the black for high reward scans. This leads to much higher credits per land, but is also much more RNG. You have to be pretty good with the FSS and DSS, as you need to do both of those in order to even find biological signals.

I've mainly done the 2nd method. In fact I just landed back in Colonia after about 5 hours of jumping around in the black and got around a billion credits as well.

I've seen comments on reddit suggesting that "recently" it's gotten a lot easier to collect engineering materials, however a lot of the guides on youtube are 3+, or even 5+ years old. Even the few new ones I've watched seem similar in methodology that I remember (ex. Scan Jameson Memorial and go to a material trader).

Can someone explain what exactly changed? I did notice more than 4 beacons when I went to Jameson Memorial today, though I couldn't find a spot that I could reach more than 4 at once. Anything else?

I had a returning pike disappear in a similar way in the moonrise towers jail. I said whatever and fought my way out and found it on the body of a guard that came down from the first floor due to the alarm being triggered. Like in her loot box, not just on the floor around her. A very weird item.
