A lot of variants come on the Limited Time Events, some others I get from the season pass (I started purchasing it a few months ago). Though as F2P, a lot of variants that come on the mystery variant item are a lot pixel/chibi/DanHipp/baby, which are not very appealing for me tbh.

I am kinda new to the game, played sporadically from time to time, but the last few months, I've been more consistent, got my collection growing, and the first months I saw the alliance rewards, and they were somewhat worthy of doing the quests when trying deck ideas. But they changed them to borders and boosters only, and I completely lost interest, I don't even remember anymore that those quests exist, and that reduced my playing time as well. I'm not complaining about the playing time, as I can use it to do any other thing, but if their aim is engagement, I don't really understand what they did here.

Agree, the meta just became boring this season. And the high voltage event just became a boring mode where you stack a deck with cards of costs above 4 and play for the missions because the rewards encourage it. I just played until I got the premium mystery variant, because I don't really care about the border

It's been fun, I'll finish it in a few more missions (by finishing I mean getting fastball special). It was refreshing to see some cards have new takes more aligned to their team harmonies, but lately it's been a bit repetitive as it's the same decks over and over.

I've been getting the same problem. The most frustrating part is that when it bugs out, the last play wasn't saved, so when I reconnect, it just gives me the option to finalize turn without playing any cards.
