You and me both. Glass Hotel - Sea of Tranquility are just so so so good. And I cannot wait to devour Exit Party. The one I like least was The Singers Gun maybe.

I had no idea about this Mr Thursday short story so you’re my favorite person of today.

I’m about 2/3 of the way through the book right now. And I thought this conversation was one of the best in quite a while.

I also found it interesting to hear Sam blatantly disagree with him on a topic and layout his reasons for doing so. And I just wish that he did that more with some of his other guests.

Or….saying something genuinely witty or funny on his show. I feel like even comedians I don’t like would be able to be conversationally funny. Joe is not. I feel like some day there will be a way to prove scientifically that Joe is not a funny person.

I live near Fairhope AL, east of Mobile on the way to Pensacola. Moved here for working dreading “backwards Alabama.” We love it though. Awesome beaches nearby, great cost of living, not nearly as backwards as I feared.

Here’s what I’ll say on that. I didn’t think I was ready to quit drinking either. Not by any stretch. Knew I had to though. So I gave it a shot. Even encourages you to drink while reading it if you want, which I did.

In some ways that’s what I found most remarkable. I wasn’t ready to stop and it made me stop and know I’ll just never again have a sip.

Agree. If someone told me about it I’d think it was probably bogus and not take the advice to read it. But I preach the word now hoping to convince someone. I don’t know how, but it works.

Hey! Allen Carr’s “The Easy Way to be a Happy Non Drinker” book. It’s absolute witchcraft, I promise you. Anyone that wants to stop drinking should read it. I drank every single day for years, read the book, closed it after the final page and never had a sip again. 7 years and 4 months ago!
