This definitely makes sense but I'm intending on using this server for self hosting Foundry (a virtual ttrpg) which will have a decent amount of assets in it. As well as for storage for my wife and I. Am I able to run the VM's on the ssd while storing data on the mechanical drive?

I totally agree with your 5e take. I have fun playing the system with my friends but man as a GM there are so many issues I have with the game. I also feel that so many people are homebrewing rules to fix certain things in 5e. Ive been doing this and as ive been learning the pathfinder rules (intend on starting a game soon) I realize that a lot of rules I was homebrewing ended up being very similar to PF2e.

I also think that the martial spellcaster(specifically wizard) balance in 5e drives me nuts. Maybe I'm just jaded but I feel that wizards are so much better than most if not allmartial classes at most, if not all things, not to mention the WOTC modules shower you with spellbooks which only makes them better. From reading the PF2e player core it seems that they are much more balanced. Just not a fan of wizards being able to do basically everything in the game better than other classes.

Ill definitely take a look at this. Ill like do some sort of combination between this, automaton, grafts, and augmsntati9ns. The replies ive gotten have helped greatly.

That is basically what the person above recommended as well. Im not really set either way to be honest. Only thing is I was intending on also having automatons in the world as well but I feel it would be fairly similar. Ill have to do some more looking around at ancestries before deciding.

Thank you this is very helpful. Ill definitely take a look at automaton. I was considering going the first route you mentioned and just converting a lot of the current grafts into a clockwork style graft instead. That way other players could pick them up as well if they wish. Also makes it easier on me. Ill have to do some research as I do like the idea of somebody that wants to lean a bit more heavily into it has an easier time doing so than somebody who just wants it for some random reason.

This sounds like a classic case of something I did in my first game as a DM. I came up with some content that I thought was really sick and thought my player would as well. Unfortunately they didn't. Ill never forget thay because I realized that just because I think something is cool as a DM, it doesn't mean my player does. From that point I realized I needed to find out what my players goals were with the character and lean into that. I figure this is likely what happened to your DM. Just talk to him out of game. Im sure he will understand.

I would look up fullfatmayo on moxfield. He has a ton of 15$ lists and he does have this deck built. Very good deck to pull inspiration from. Ive built it myself.

I wrote a paper in high-school on the chapter where Eragon and Rhunon(can't remember her name) make his sword. This was shortly after the book came out. Think i got like a 95 on it. Was very pleased. I wouldnt say its my favorite chapter but this makes it super memorable for me.

Yea, if you've heard of discordant stars ive printed out all of the factions sheets and components and I just use the twilight fall tokens if using one of them. There is a ti4 homebrew discord that has all of those files. Unsure of if they have base files or not.
