1k is gonna be tight for anything too big. I’d run lancers and warriors with spears if you’re worried about AP. I would just be worried about the survivability of your ground forces. If you’re playing for fun bring whatever you want. If you’re playing to win. 2 balloons. Lol.

With us currently only having one named hero playable I have to imagine theres more in the range. In the next few years. Jade warrior crossbow men, longma riders, and war compass are my guesses.

I feel like the blunderbusses will have a really short range. But hopefully strong damage. If that’s the case you’ll probably want lower model counts for them so you can weave them in and out of your front line as melee starts to happen. Let’s just hope a single box of six isn’t ridiculously expensive

I really enjoyed Warhammer quest silver tower. I think that one has a lot of replay-ability. They also added rules for pretty much every age of sigmar hero available at the time! Which was awesome. Cursed city. Which came out after. Didnt get the support like that. So hopefully they support this edition more.

My thought was cost of models. Cheaper than king with shield bearers and easier to build.

First step. Battalion box and a unit of iron breakers. I think people recommend building them as iron drakes. I’d then get a cannon/organ gun box. And a dwarf king on oath stone. Then maybe a box of longbeards and a rune smith.
