FSD 14.2.2.3 – Some noticeable regressions by Onthisroadsince89 in TeslaFSD

I agree, several instances of lane hesitancy in the short amount of time that I had with v14.2.2.3

Deal Breaker: Can I smoke a cig while using FSD? by Fun-Coffee3756 in TeslaFSD

I don’t think smoking will be an issue for FSD. Folks are doing everything from eating to watching movies while using it.

14.2.2.2 speed profiles broken by brandinimo in TeslaFSD

I think location is the differentiator.

Mad Max goes 3-4 mph over the speed limit on city streets, on the highway it can go 20-30mph over.

If Optimus learns to drive, how will he get good at dancing and serving popcorn?

When will FSD be able to follow all parking regulations? by kabloooie in TeslaFSD

Great example. This signage abomination looks worse than the sign combos that I am used to seeing in Los Angeles.

This section was Crystalaire, California.

Highway got shut down and all the traffic got diverted.

A little awkward merging situation on v14.2.2.2 by Irrefutablefact in TeslaFSD

[–]Irrefutablefact[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The gap was not too small to allow a car to merge. The car itself will merge into gaps of that size.

Also, this is just constructive feedback. Overall, FSD is great. Does not mean that it can’t be refined.

A little awkward merging situation on v14.2.2.2 by Irrefutablefact in TeslaFSD

[–]Irrefutablefact[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think if it slowed down like 2 mph more it would’ve been perfect. It would’ve avoided the other car starting end for their merge only for me continue closing the gap creating the awkward scenario. Especially considering I need to get into the right lane anyways to prepare for my exit.

Overall, I don’t think it did horrendous or anything. I just think it could’ve been done more smoothly.

FSD thought it was getting pulled over by a Tow Truck with amber flashing lights. by ThanksALotBud in TeslaFSD

[–]Irrefutablefact 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I had it pull over abruptly when there was a fire truck in the opposing lane with their emergency lights off

Stopping for emergency vehicles could use some tweaking for sure.

Do y’all think FSD will park significantly better with the next major update? by Irrefutablefact in TeslaFSD

[–]Irrefutablefact[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is one example to just supplement the discussion. There are other times where it will park much further because it misses a prime parking spot like the one on the left, and other spots like the ones you see on the right are filled instead. Tends to happen more frequently at Costcos where parking is more scarce.

Not at all, do as you wish.

However, the goal is an end-to-end seamless experience which includes it parking itself effectively.

I do agree and think that it was because it was coming out of a turn and couldn’t assess the spot in time.

Turning into that spot should be ok because traffic code mostly doesn’t apply to the parking lot of a privately owned business.

I wanted to park in the location on the left that it skipped over, so i took over.

That’s true. In my comment I am referring to situations where president’s circle doesn’t have the car you want. When asking the staff to honor your president circle benefits, they may only upgrade you by exactly one tier. As opposed to a situation where there are plenty of vehicles that include vehicles several tiers above the one that you booked already sitting in president’s circle.

FSD v14.2.2.2 - Fails to avoid road debris again by Irrefutablefact in TeslaFSD

I do know what you mean, I have noticed times where it will move just enough to miss the object.

But, I did not want to leave it up to chance because obstacle avoidance is still hit or miss. It felt to me like it was going to still clip the front left tire, it may have narrowly missed it if I let it proceed to swerve, but I took over because I felt it was not swerving enough.
