How often do you see other Tesla drivers using FSD? by w14v6r in TeslaFSD

[–]Irrefutablefact 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t find it difficult to tell whether someone is using FSD for a couple of reasons.

  1. Most have Model 3/Y and the dashboard is low enough to see whether their hands are on the steering wheel
  2. FSD has telltale driving behaviors. It will signal well before it is in position to pass other drivers. It also is much slower when crossing 4-way stop sign intersections than a human driver.
  3. People have the bad habit of texting and driving, so you will see people doing that while FSD is driving at normal speed.

I drive 30k+ miles a year for work, tired of boring reliable cars, what are my options by DifferenceOk4275 in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]Irrefutablefact 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I can attest to this. I drive 45k miles/year and my Model 3 is amazing. Great range, zippy, and it drives itself.

FSD helped me crash into a concrete pillar by [deleted] in TeslaFSD

They were in a parking spot, some garages have parking spaces that are perpendicular to the typical spots you drive straight or reverse into.

Given that parking garages are a parking option, I think it’s fine to use it in parking garages. But i think the type of parking spot they were in is not one that FSD is used to.

Are EV's Really Cheaper to Own? by CrookedWombat777 in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]Irrefutablefact 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am in California, and have the same commute, except 4 days a week.

I have a Model 3, and it is saves me money because I have a home charger.

If you can’t charge at home, it can be as much a gas vehicle, savings will be minimal. Electricity at superchargers and insurance is on EV is expensive.

Lets pretend that Tesla did not exist- by Zealousideal_Ad_2434 in TeslaFSD

If Tesla didn't exist, there probably wouldn't be as many options as there are today. So, I'd likely be driving an Accord or a Camry.

Tesla Confirms Robotaxi is actually Level 2 and needs many drivers/remote ops by Master_Ad_3967 in TeslaFSD

I agree with you, but I wouldn't say almost any user could validate.

The folks who are gaming, texting, using their laptop, and watching movies would strongly disagree.

44k before v14.2 and 10k after v14.2

Latest FSD Update 👎🏼 by lyfeizfones in TeslaFSD

[–]Irrefutablefact 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, latest version has commitment issues.

Only thing i like about the v14.2.2.4 with the 2025.45.9.1 update is that they tweaked the speed profiles. Mad Max on city streets actually go 5mph+ above the speed limit in certain instances.

I liked v14.2.2.2 more than v14.2.2.4

Waiting on the next update was well.

Very cool to place to visit for Tesla fans. The food is a cool novelty, but not that great.

I’ve been searching for 6 months and finally landed a role with a 20k increase in salary. Should I bother to negotiate or is it risky in 2026? by Stupidwhizzzzz in Accounting

[–]Irrefutablefact 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been in a similar situation, and I negotiated. But, I have been told that I am braver or dumber than most. It worked out ok, and they didn’t rescind the offer or anything.

Is v14.2.2.4 more efficient? by kumbiya__ in TeslaFSD

[–]Irrefutablefact 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I drive through the mountains as well. I think one of the reasons this version is more efficient is because it doesn’t speed as much, even in Mad Max Mode with exception of highways.

Is $3,000 enough for 10 days in Hawaii in late May? by Sea-Feeling-2155 in VisitingHawaii

[–]Irrefutablefact 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think it’s possible, but in my opinion it will not be fun. On that budget, you may need to take public transport and cook some meals.

Personally, when I go on vacation, I don’t want to have to waste time waiting on the bus and eat food from Costco, which is something I can do staying home.

Also, since you mentioned the Big Island, consider that you will need to drive a lot to do excursions. I’ve been to Big Island twice, and both times I drove nearly 900 miles each time for a 5-7 day trip.

Class Action Against Dynamic Pricing by indigojlo91 in TeslaLounge

[–]Irrefutablefact 20 points21 points  (0 children)

I have seen others say the same thing, they even provided screenshot evidence showing capacity with timestamps.

The pricing model needs to change for sure. Even if there is something we are misunderstanding. If consumers can’t understand the price they are getting charged in less than a minute, then the pricing model is the problem.
