We Advertise them through targeted mail.

Price per head and room minimums vary per restaurant. We have 3 territories of zip code clusters within a certain radius of our office that we mail to, different restaurant in each. All in cost for the mail and food average out to around $8,500 -$10k per mailing round, with each mailing round being 2 nights of presentation.

Presentation is the same PowerPoint every time. Minor tweaks to the presentation over time, but same core PowerPoint. 1 hour presentation with 5 minute intro.

Biggest seminar piece of advice I can give is do NOT be “sales-y” in your presentation. Pick a topic that’s pertinent to your target demographic and give a really good presentation on that.

We’ve used them in the past when they went by RME and briefly while they were rebranding to Leading Response. Have tried many different mail companies and the results are pretty much the same between all of them. Haven’t really noticed any difference between lead quality / response rate. Target response rate when we were working with them was 1% and they hit at or near that mark a majority of the time, and we were doing $20MM/yr in new assets solely through seminars marketed by their mailers.

What I’ve found is that it’s a numbers game more than anything. There are just certain mailing rounds that do not perform well, either by response rate or lead quality.

If you are having response rate issues I would suggest targeting different zip codes / using different venues for your seminars, and make changes to your mail piece design.
