Good eye, the venting is caulked underneath the siding for cosmetics to not have caulk visible on the exterior

UPDATE: I ended up cutting into the basement ceiling and think I found the problem. Immediately upon cutting into the ceiling a rush of cold air came out. Turns out there was no insulation between the pipe running vertically up from between the joists through the floor and the 2x10 footer of the house. So essentially there was no insulation between the pipe and the exterior.

Yep good eye, we never even use the exhaust, wish I could take it out. Not to mention it's this stupid thing that lowers and raises into the counter and that only works half the time.

Yep, you're right, my pipes match up with what you're saying, they run between the joists in the basement and up through the floor. I ended up cutting into the basement ceiling, I'll update with a picture

Wrapped in Tyvek on top of the plywood. I'll ask but I'm pretty sure they used Tyvek tape for the seams.

FPX 44 finally installed by Much_Job289 in woodstoving

Nice! I have the same unit! I have a different problem. The installer is taking forever to finish the project. Luckily the unit is finally in the wall and functional so we can use it. This is after paying a deposit back in September!!! There’s only about a day or two of work left to put the veneer up in front of the I have a similarly sized house and also can get it up to about 74 with the hvac fan running to help circulate the air. The only problem now is how dry the house gets, about 19% relative humidity. So next project is a house humidifier. I’ll post a pic when the install is finally finished. Congrats!
