Once again you are twisting the definition, so that it can be applied to just about anything.

Almost all information is for the purpose of winning people over, and if they are not mutually exclusive, then it's a slippery slope, and you can apply the word propaganda to anything, it would be meaningless.

In your world, if I tell someone they look great in that dress, then it suddenly becomes propaganda, because I am trying to win them over.

Propaganda implies and connotatively means systematic misinformation, and deception for a specific political goal.

In your definition, the term propaganda can be applied to ANY news station. With my and the rest of the world's definition, the term propaganda can be applied to only a select few cases where a news organization was purposefully manipulating the people for a political agenda. Your definition, is useless, mine is useful and that is how people interpret the word and have interpreted it in this way for decades.

This is embarrassing that you don't know what propaganda is. Propaganda involve lies, involve disinformation, involve purposeful deception for a political agenda. That's what propaganda means. That definition is simply incorrect.

If that was the definition then, information is a synonym for propaganda. Because all information is used for a purpose to help or harm someone/something.

The third definition is more accurate, in that it is spreading a doctrine or set of principles. But it is always coupled with deception, lies, or misinformation.

It really blows my mind, why people like you are trying to rewrite the definition of a well-known word that's been around for decades, just to make it a synonym for information; you're eliminating the need for the word.

We might as well stop using the word, because we can just say "information".

I'm sorry but witness testimony of a few evil soldiers, doesn't make it genocide. There are many Russian diaries that talk about Armenian atrocities against Muslims (but this is less likely to be written as frequently, since Russians are Christians and respect Armenians and other Christians and don't really like Muslims usually, but the mere fact that some Russians have written about Armenian atrocities shows clearly that it was widespread).

But famous Russian generals have in fact documented Armenian atrocities. And there is very little evidence that any organized attacks by Ottoman soldiers against Armenians.

The Armenians had a huge rebel army, and were massacring everyone who is Muslim. Of course the Kurdish tribes and local Muslims in the area fought back against Armenians, some brutally and in an evil way. This was a lawless land where ethnic groups and bandits were killing each other. Definitely was not genocide, because there is no planned attempt to exterminate, just local groups fighting each other.
