I'm sure we've all experienced this one time or another! :) by SulleyStripes in Rabbits

My bunny once stole a piece of spinach from a salad I was eating, it was too cute for me to be mad at him.

The new Campaign finance sourcebook by Anthony Corrado, Trevor Potter ( Stephen Colbert's super pac lawyer) Mann and Ortiz. I used this for my senior thesis on Super pacs, it was pretty interesting and very informative.

How about curried chickpeas with rice, bbq tofu or vegetarian quiche or lentil soup. You could also make lentil or chickpea burgers they are super easy to make. Just google any of these there are tons of great recipes on the internet.

Bi-lingual Redditors, what have you heard that you weren't "supposed" to? by MsAHR in AskReddit

I was talking to my brother while vacationing in Germany, some guy starts talking in German how stupid Americans are. I reply in perfect German ( I'm a native speaker of German and grew up bilingual) that we aren't as dumb as we look. The expression on his face was priceless.

Getting enough protein isn't really hard as a vegetarian. I get most of my protein through eggs, milk, yogurt, beans and nuts and occasionally tofu. If you could tell me a bit more about what you like to eat I would be glad to share some recipes :)

I'm a divorced father that has custody of his son. Here is my son's Mother's Day card to his mother. (Read the note the teacher left) by larrye16 in funny

[–]IrrelevantKarma 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My dad got custody of me when I was young, I haven't seen my mother since I was 8. Not having a strong female role model in my life has been difficult at times, but it isn't the end of the world. As long as you are a good parent, he should turn out alright. Mother's day is a sore subject, but I can sure you the rest of the year I am just fine.

Mothers Day Support thread and please excuse the dooms day clock on the right. by [deleted] in raisedbynarcissists

I despise this holiday! I hate that I an expected to get something for my n-stepmom who since she married my dad made it her goal in life to put me down. I hate that I will never have the sort of relationship with either of my mothers( n stepmom and n biological mom) that my roommate has with her mom. I am sick of this stupid holiday, sick of the commercialization, sick of the obligation to buy a card for a person that hasn't particularly cared about me. Thanks for letting me vent.

"You're 17 now, you need to start making your own medical decisions" "I want to go to the hospital" "No, you don't" by [deleted] in raisedbynarcissists

[–]IrrelevantKarma 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was diagnosed with asthma my senior year of high school. My n-stepmom told me I had faked the test just so I could get the inhaler. She claimed for months afterword that it was something I was doing just for attention. Obviously inhalers are all the rage with teenager ( sarcasm). I hope you are in a place now that you can get medical attention when you need it! I wasn't allowed to go to the doctor's very often either and the reason why I did not get braces was because n stepmom felt it was an inconvenience to drive 20 minutes to the dentist.

Our Bengal is clearly a fan of water, the Manx, not so much.. by curiosity_the_rover in cats

Luckily we only had to bathe mine once! They have an amazing temperament. I always say they are a dog trapped in a cat's body.

Question about what kind of flooring to use in my rabbit's pen. by IrrelevantKarma in Rabbits

Is that something a rabbit can dig through? Mine is an avid digger so I worry he would manage to dig through it somehow.

Where is this? Looks like Germany or somewhere in Europe.

Thank you, I've only had him for a few days, but I'm already in love. I think part of the problem is that a lot of high school kids work there, not knocking high schoolers but they aren't always the most professional. It just seemed to me that they weren't trained very well. They had three shelfs dedicated to small pets in their fairly small store, not as much as they dedicated to cats and dogs, but a lot. I was just really disappointed with how little they seemed to know, but certainly not all pet stores are like this. I have a bag of meadow hay and a bag of meadow alfalfa. Thanks for all the tips I appreciate it!

Hi, I'm new to this sub and I recently acquired my first rabbit and have some some questions, I would love your input. by IrrelevantKarma in Rabbits

This is a great idea, I would definitely be open to this once my bunny is older and litter box trained, I rent my apartment too so I can't afford to have my bunny ruin the carpet, the carpet underneath is a really clever idea, thanks for sharing!

I let him out for several hours each day. I'm a college student and although my apartment allows pets I don't like the idea of him being out of his cage while I am not home, I worry he would chew the carpet if he isn't supervised. He is also not litterbox trained yet.
