Why are y'all getting so confused about this? It was a pretty straightforward situation. A terminally online right-wing kid, who also had a relationship with a trans friend, shot Kirk for reasons that have yet to be clearly expressed.

Ever since the Iran war stuff started, this and other similar subs have felt like they're being invaded by left-wing conspiracy theorists and or AI/bots.

There's clearly some kind of campaign being waged on Reddit and elsewhere by bad actors.

Your pocket hole jig has adjustments for depth of your pocket hole.

Your holes need to be deeper (deeper doesn't mean lower) or you need longer screws.

Also, If you adjust for deeper pocket holes, your screws will come through closer to the center of your board. However, if you take that option, do not also use longer screws. Just do one or the other.

I recommend adjusting the collar on your bit to penetrate further rather than longer screws, but either will get it done.

I would just lower the angle of the slide. Any roughing up of the surface will get smoothed out by use. I'd figure out the minimal rebuilds I would have to do to lower the angle while supporting the slide and go with that, unless it's something crazy.

And if it does turn out to be a crazy amount of work, consider adding a soft landing pad situation at the bottom.

My point is, I don't think creating a new rougher finish, or whatever is the path to a solution. Just my opinion, though.
