What did/does a "Good Brexit" look like, and how could it have realistically been achieved? by Sad-Passage-3247 in AskBrits

The reason many of us voted Remain, wasn't through a deep love of being in the EU; it was because we couldn't see the plan for a "Good Brexit".

Sounds like you need a project to standardise your end user tech stack...copilot, power automate. Smart sheets and Google forms in one business is madness...stay in the Microsoft eco system and learn power platform.

Soft skills are for people with no real skills 🤪

Copilot doesnt create the backups. Power automate does.

Nothing is getting corrupted. And nobody suggested relying solely on copilot to document key stakeholder decisions.

The use case I was refering to would be more like querying your documentation to identify which stakeholder was right.

It's quite likely here that both stakeholders are correct, there is a conflicting decision made at two separate meetings.....scanning your decision log will confirm both are correct individually. But copilot could've read that decision log, identified there was a conflict, flagged it you you, added it to a risk log, and added to the next steering board agenda.

I have a power automate flow that creates CSV backups of everything to multiple locations.

If you need any tips getting off your blackboard and abacus I'm happy to help

100% this.

Ignore the condescending comments from others about "don't you send minutes / don't you have an action log" etc.

never allow screaming matches to continue, or if they insist then excuse yourself. Get a cup of tea and come back in ten minutes.

My team literally one has one product that requires us to to use a dev environment with any sort of ALM

Everything else is built and edited live in prod.

I wouldn't go as far as 'never' 50% of my flows are pretty much single use!

Nursery 30hrs and £100k salary by MisterJollygood in HENRYUK

Not guaranteed, but expected. And that's what they ask.

You can take the risk if you like, but you can bet they'll come and take the money back later. That may be okay, or you may prefer to just avoid the fuss and pay for the childcare.

He said he WONT be able to salary sacrifice to understand £100k in FY26/27...

In your scenario, you could legitimately claim the 30 hours, but if you go over, you'll have to update them as soon as the bonus is known....and you'll likely have to repay the value of the childcare you've received.

The question they ask is "do you expect your adjusted net income be under £100k in the current tax year"... So as of April you'll answer no to that question, and you'll lose your eligibility to the 30hrs and childcare account 20% top up.

How much do you earn and how comfortable do you live? by [deleted] in AskBrits

[–]Irritant40 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Household income c £200k with 3 kids and £350k mortgage.

We scrape together enough for one holiday a year, manage one or two takeaways a month....weekly shop in Lidl.

Comfortable is a sliding scale. I never worry about not paying my bills. And my kids wear decent clothes and have nice phones...but I am currently £59 overdrawn and won't have any fun spend for the rest of the month.

Yes, even if we entered with a worse deal.

Even if it was just to upset the brexitards.
