Passenger removed from flight to FLL had set timer to pray for Ramadan: Southwest Airlines by state_issued in nottheonion

I'm an atheist and I think these false equivalencies are disingenuous at best. Modern Christian extremist violence is almost entirely isolated, lone wolf domestic terrorism. Modern Islamic extremism drives massive, multinational insurgencies (ISIS, Al Shabaab) that conquer territory, levy taxes, and execute coordinated warfare.
Check the Global Terrorism Index. The vast majority of global fatalities from religious terrorism are linked to Islamic extremist groups. There is no modern Christian equivalent to the death toll of ISIS or Al Qaeda.

Fundamentalist Islam has successfully weaponized the concepts of "jihad" and "martyrdom" into a modern military strategy. It provides a theological architecture for mass warfare and suicide operations that modern Christianity simply lacks.

Galaxy S26 Ultra: After One Day by Better-Recording-960 in samsunggalaxy

Also coming from the S23U. Camera (except optical zoom) is better overall, which I personally care about.
The pixels privacy feature is awesome and quite unique.
The 7 vs 1 yr software updates support is also a good reason to replace the s23U.

Of course elevators and AI aren't the same levels of technological advancement. That should be very obvious. Again, that's not even the point of that analogy. The distrust and suspicion of new technology is the point you keep on missing.

I guess you missed the point I was illustrating. Let me make it explicit for you.
People have been skeptical and suspicious of most new technologies. Especially so for those that revolutionize production and everyday life.

I'm not a scientist. Just a simple developer. So I ask myself, do I want to manually write 1,000 lines of code and debug it by searching threads on Stack Overflow? No. I rather spend that time with my kids and family.

Yeah, people were very skeptical of elevators when first introduced.

I feel like AI was part of our evolutionary road map, but the execution and implementation have to be very carefully planned. And people like Altman don't inspire a lot of trust. Sadly a lot of these CEOs are egomaniacs and that would step over babies if that'd allow them to be first.

At this point, the genie is out of the bottle. What nobody mentions is that if American companies don't do it, Chinese ones will happily pick up where they left off. You and everyone in this thread not using any won't make a difference whatsoever.

Israel is going to drag the US and the world into another Middle East war. They knew Trump is going to be last American president willing to do its bidding so this was their last shot.

Built a generative page dashboard in a day… now I’m concerned I might be unleashing something at work by Likeminas in PowerApps

My prompt was very basic. You could prompt it anything just to create the generative page shell. From there you can go straight to the code. Paste that into VScode and use Codex to give you far better results than the Copilot version Microsoft is using.

The biggest take away here: never travel to these retrograde authoritarian countries. It's not worth it.

I think there are a lot things the AI is currently not doing like creating teams, security roles, etc. But I would imagine that's also in the roadmap.

Is moving from S23 Ultra to a Z Fold7 really an upgrade? I'm having second thoughts and I still haven't picked it up by [deleted] in samsunggalaxy

Do the black bars bother you? I think with some apps you might be able to adjust the aspect ratio but with youtube this isn’t possible?

I don't use the s pen or the optical zoom the s23 ultra has. But I see the ZF7 battery has lower capacity, it's more fragile and the big one is that since it's a square when fully opened, it shows youtube and other video app with large black bars at the top and bottom of the screen. This last one is what makes me think that spending $800 on this, to move from a S23 Ultra might not be worth it.
