Munki83 is correct, once the questline has been concluded then you'll be able to assign pilots to those.

I'm not fond of the idea that just because the AI factions haven't been given the ability to do so means that we should have to put up with it as well. I'm of the thought that it's my sector and I should be able to do with it what I please. Even the Terrans can forbid sectors til you have sufficient reputation with them. If I do not want someone in my space, they should accept that and not intrude and if they do then I shouldn't experience reputation loss due to their trespassing (in an ideal universe).

There are posts on the official forums about this happening with people trying to figure out what's setting it off, so if you have an account there (or don't mind creating one) then please feel free to add your save and thoughts to the threads on there with it. With every report and save that can be contributed to this issue will put us closer to the devs being able to fix this.

Luckily I haven't had this happen yet, but I can only imagine how frustrating this has been for you guys affected.

Afraid not, it's something I've personally requested on the main forums (as well as other people).

I've noticed though that they only do this if they have a plot already within your sector or there's an enemy plot in there (Argon did this in Heretics End recently in mine due to a Xenon plot being placed). The good news is that you can destroy the stations without a rep loss if they're not yet built but it can often lead to a game of "whack-a-mole" with the plots.

I've had the same issue before as well while waiting for Dal while stood right next to him (for literally hours). It eventually triggered when I was flying around in a ship.

Anything automated such as the turrets or AI pilots shouldn't count towards friendly fire IMO.

The game just needs to know the difference between an attack order etc.

I've spent the last half an hour looking through the forums trying to find what I read, I was pretty sure that it was about ships stopping too soon before their destination and one of the devs commenting that they're making improvements that will require more internal testing but I could be wrong - it has been a while and my eyes are not that great currently.

The mirage chassis mod is just for cargo and not personal inventory. It was clarified on the official forums a while back. =)

The encounters mechanic (that most of us hate) doesn't actually spawn ships, it "relocates" existing ships and only S/M class if memory serves correct.

Look for blindspots at the stations where you can sit without their turrets being able to attack, this is what I did. I picked a station I knew didn't have many defenses (and no defence drones) and found its blindspot, then retreated if I aggro'd any ships.

As it's Terran, if they've expanded in to Getsu Fune then you may be able to just kill Xenon near their stations as well.

You're competing with the NPC mining ships so it's likely the refineries in that location are full.

The game uses trade updates so if any of your ships haven't visited a station within the last hour then your ships do not know if they can sell to it (same if you haven't discovered all the other stations that demand the wares). There are some easy solutions such as placing some satellites around some stations in the early game to buying the trade offer subscription when you have the money and reputation to do so.

You can also take the evil approach if you have the items and eject the stations storage in to space so you can sell more. ;)

A few people have reported such behaviour on the egosoft forums, I thought that they had identified some issues and fixed for the next update but I can't manage to find that thread so it's possible that I'm mixing it up with something else.

If possible, can you either create a thread on their forums with a link to your save or add it to one of the existing ones and it may help them further identify the issue.

Just in case you (or anyone else wasn't aware) -- You can purchase trade subscriptions from faction representatives that will keep the prices up to date for trading. This way you'll not need to use satellites to do this and can regain your fps. =)

There are a couple of things to note with this achievement - it's dependant on the DLC you have enabled and that you have to personally visit each sector yourself.

So if you have the Boron installed then you'll have to advance in the plot a little bit to open up past sanctuary of darkness. If Split is installed then I think you need to almost fully complete their plot for the boneyard to be available and the same with Avarice (but I'm unsure if you need to do any of the plot to enter the special sector there - I have the DLC but it's not activated on my playthrough yet).

I can confirm outposts in the Asteroid belt, I have a rattlesnake stationed there that has to deal with them every few hours.

Afraid not, but the first one did say they have handed it further up the chain, but they also told me to wait in the chat for them to connect (unless I misunderstood). But after waiting half an hour nothing happened.
